laughed, “So I see we got jokes. What brings you in so early, you're not on the clock for another hour,” he said looking at his watch.
“Well it’s time for another one of our talks Kamil, I don’t know why the sudden change but I know I’m not feeling it.”
Kamil sighed, he knew it was serious when she called him Kamil instead of Boss Man or Mil Mil. “You know what ma, maybe it’s time for y’all to sit down and talk about it. Ain’t no sense in walking around avoiding each other. Y’all are engaged and you do live together.”
“I know Kamil but he won't even talk to talk to me, he will run his mouth to his brother or my brother but when I try to talk he wants to turn into a mute. But he won’t hesitate to open his mouth he he wants to have sex,” she sighed, she was starting to get tired of the whole situation.
“I went to the doctors earlier today and I found out, I’m pregnant.” she said, as she played with her engagement ring wondering where they went wrong.
Kamil wasn’t shocked about her news. He had been telling her for two weeks to go to the doctors to see what was wrong.
“How far along are you?” he inquired.
“2 months,” she said enthusiastically .
“Well when are you going to tell him?”
Reneice shrugged, “I don’t even know if I want to keep it, especially with the way things are between us. A baby would only complicate things more and I really don’t need that.” said Reneice, on the verge of tears.
“I think you should still tell him. It’s his baby just as much as it is yours and he should know.”
Reneice rolled her eyes at his statement. She really didn’t want to hear that. “Whatever Kamil,”
Kamil got up and pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead. “Baby girl you already know how I feel about you. So you know I’ma be here for you no matter what, any decision you make, I’m behind you one-hundred percent. I didn’t mean to upset you,” he said sincerely.
A while back Kamil had expressed to Reneice that he was growing feelings for her. He told her that he knew she was engaged so he would stay in his place and not overstep his boundaries. Unlike most women who would stay far away from him, she told him she was not the one to cheat, no matter how many problems she was having in her relationship. She told him that she didn’t look at him any differently and they could be friends.
I knew he would fuck up eventually, I just have to be a little more patient , thought Kamil.
“It’s cool. Let me get out of here so I can clock in I don’t want you docking my pay.” She joked
When Neicey got home, it was 4:00 in the morning. She noticed Mykell’s car wasn’t in the garage, which was weird. She went in the house and headed straight for MJ’s room. She was shocked but also relieved to see him sound asleep, she went to her room and was surprised when she didn’t see Mykell. She called his phone and it went straight to voicemail. I wonder where the fuck his black ass at, she thought to herself. She took a shower and climbed in bed, as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was in dreamland.
Mykell rolled over out his sleep to the annoying sound of Kya’s snoring. He grabbed his phone to check the time and realized it was turned off. He never turned his phone off so he knew Kya was the culprit. He was a surprised that he didn’t have any voicemails from Neicey. He just knew she would blow up his phone to see where he was at and why he wasn’t home. Instead, there was nothing. He had started back missing with Kya six months ago. It wasn’t a part of the plan but it happened. Neicey was spending more time at work than she was with him and his son. He showed up at Kya’s doorstep one night and they been fucking ever since.
