much, baby.”
I let out a giggle as his kisses trail from my cheek to my neck. “We love you too , Connor.” He rubs my stomach and smiles his stunning smile that makes me weak and breathless. My heart thuds against my ribs as I stare into Connor’s eyes. I’ve been let down so many times and thought love wasn’t for me until Connor. And now we have forever together.
We finally get out of bed and get ready for the day. It’s Sunday today, so we’ll be having our usual Sunday dinner at Sophia’s dad’s house. Connor seems relaxed as he watches me get ready. He stares lovingly at my belly, and I gently touch it. I love the way he looks at me. I love that we created our baby, and I can’t wait until we’re be able to hold him or her in our arms. I look down and smile. “We love you so much,” I whisper.
Walking down the spiral stairs, hand in hand, and walk out the doors into the September air. Connor opens the car door for me and helps me in. I shake my head. It’s annoying how careful he is with me, but when we’re in bed, it’s a completely new story. He opens his door and climbs in. The car starts and Connor’s hand rests on my knee. I turn on the radio and ‘Just A Kiss’ by Lady Antebellum is on.
“Just a kiss on your lips in the moonlight,” I croon to my fiancé. “I love you , Connor.”
“I love listening to you sing , babe.” Connor squeezes my knee and smiles. “To the moon and back.” He takes my hand and brings it up to his soft lips.
We get to the Burns’ house and Connor rushes over to my side of the door and opens it for me. I take his hand and we walk to the back yard, together.
Sophia comes rushing over to me and gives me a hug. “Hi!”
I hug her back. I love my best friend and everything we’ve been through together has made our friendship stronger. “Hi!”
Sophia lets me go and I see her red face. I give her a face and she laughs. “Come meet Vander.”
Vander? It’s about time I meet this new friend Soph mentioned.
I look at Connor and he shrugs. We follow Sophia to the deck where Mr. Burns and Adam are at the grill talking and drinking beer. I nudge Connor and give him a smirk. I know he wants to be there with the guys. He gives me a quick kiss and jogs over. I turn to Sophia and wonder what she’s looking at , and then out of nowhere, I see a hot, tall, sexy guy walking from the pool house. He’s wearing cargo shorts and a white polo shirt. His muscles are beautiful and tight in all the right places. My mouth drops and Sophia looks at me smiling. We watch him walk… no, strut or better yet, glide toward us.  I’m really not sure but it’s definitely not walking! He advances closer to us, and the smile on his face makes my panties twist in so many directions..
“Hi,” he extends his hand out to me . “I’m Vander. Erin, right?”
I nod yes. I can’t talk. This rarely happens.
    Snap out of it, Costella!
Sophia loops her arm through Vander’s arm. “Yep, this is my best friend Erin. Vander, come help me bring out the rest of the food. Erin, ya coming?
Vander opens the screen door for us and waits until we’re both in before coming in to help us. He starts getting the food and other necessities ready. “So Vander, how’s working with my dad?”
A doctor? Oh my God! How old is this sexy beast? “Vander, you’re a doctor?”
He smiles . “Not exactly. I’m pre-med, and Doctor Burns is my mentor.” He pops a carrot stick in his mouth, and my eyes go directly to his lips. “Oh, congratulations, by the way. Sophia told me the good news.”
My eyes dart to my beautiful friend , and she laughs. “Yep, got my little one.”
Vander strolls over to me and takes my hand . “Well, you’re a beautiful pregnant girl. I tell Sophia this all the time, but she never believes me.” He looks over at Sophia, winking.
I know I’m engaged and pregnant, but honestly, who doesn’t like a little eye candy? I’m human! I know Connor looks and that’s
