he lifted her sultry body off his cock and eased her feet to the floor.

“Do you want me to leave while he’s recovering or finish what you started in our driveway earlier this evening?”
Alyssa felt her heart almost stop at the question that came from the archway. She lifted her head, turned it slowly toward the sound of the gruff voice, and found Nick standing there watching her and Tanner. One broad shoulder was leaning against the archway frame. His strong arms were loosely folded across his wide chest and his feet were crossed at the ankles. His eyes turned the color of dark chocolate as his attention took a leisurely stroll up her body before meeting her gaze.
Oh, God. Though she had asked about him not long after Tanner had joined her in the kitchen, the instant Tanner had kissed her, all thoughts of Nick had evaporated from her mind. She remembered Tanner’s response when she had told him she wasn’t sure she could handle both of them at once.
Then I guess you’ll have to take us one at a time.
Nick was obviously waiting for his turn with her. Holy shit! Was she really going to do this? Was she really going to have sex with both of these men back-to-back in the same night?
“This is crazy,” she heard herself whisper.
Nick didn’t move from the archway and the heated expression on his handsome face didn’t change. “What’s crazy about it, sweetheart?”
“Everything!” she said on a breathless burst of laughter that sounded laced with insanity. Oddly enough, that lace was the only thing that made sense to her at the moment. She had gone insane. There was no other explanation for the way she was acting. “I just met both of you.”
“So.” Tanner was still holding her hips and his large hands massaged them lightly as he spoke.
She looked at him and felt a rush of warm fuzzies dance through her belly. “I just had sex with you.”
The corner of his lips twitched in a boyish grin. “You did, and it was great, too.”
Alyssa laughed and rolled her eyes. “That’s not the point.”
“You think it’s crazy because you just had sex with me and now you’re wanting me to back off so Nick can have you, too.”
Tanner’s words sounded more like a statement than a question. Still, she shook her head, then nodded, and finally closed her eyes and let her forehead fall to rest on his shoulder. “I’m losing my fucking mind.”
“Nothing has to happen tonight you don’t want, Alyssa.”
She lifted her head as Nick’s husky voice got louder and found him slowly walking toward her. “I’m not a slut.” She snapped her mouth shut as her cheeks heated. She hadn’t meant to put voice to the thought going through her head.
Nick stopped walking and a dart of something akin to regret shot through his eyes. “That thought never crossed either of our minds, but if we’re making you feel that way, I’ll go.”
He detoured the direction he had been heading and started for the doorway of the kitchen that would take him through the living room and out of the house.
    “Nick, wait!”
He stopped again and shot her a side-long look over his shoulder.
“You didn’t make me feel that way. It’s just…” She covered her forehead with a palm. She could almost feel the wheels spinning out of control in her head. “I’ve never done anything like this before.”
“Is there a bathroom down the hall?”
Puzzled by Tanner’s question that had absolutely nothing to do with the conversation, she drew her brows together as she looked at him. “Yes.”
He leaned in and brushed a soft kiss to her lips. “Why don’t the two of you talk this out while I go clean up? Whatever you decide is okay with us.”
Alyssa watched him as he backed away and then turned and left the kitchen. Suddenly cold without the warmth of his touch, she shivered and folded her arms beneath her breasts.
“For the record, we didn’t come over here for dinner tonight for the sole purpose of getting you
