Mind Control 101: The Ultimate Hypnotizing Box Set
should we, nerd?
I promise, I’ll make it worth your while.
I don’t want them in my room any more than they want to be there, but this is too good to pass up. When Kurt and Chip arrive, they look suspicious of me.
“So, what is it?” Kurt says. He almost grunts at me.
“Well, remember what Lindsey said during Truth or Dare last night?”
“Yeah, she wants to wait for her husband or something like that,” Chip says.
“No, not that,” I say. “The part about the gangbang.”
“Yeah, but she was just joking, you know her,” Kurt says.
“No. The thing is, she really wants it. Bad. And she even said she wants us to do it.”
“And why should we believe you?” The two of them ask in unison.
“Because I’ll prove it to you. I promise.”
The two hulking guys crack their knuckles, and move closer to intimidate me.
    “You better,” Kurt says.
“Or we’ll have to beat you up,” Chip says.
I assure them that I’ve got it all under control, but I’m starting to worry. What if I’m wrong? What if that was just some stupid drunken confession?
I’m nervous, but we exchange numbers and make the plan. We’ll meet with Lindsey on Wednesday to play Madden. She’ll probably be free since it’s a weekend, and it’s the only vaguely believable reason why Kurt, Chip, and I would be hanging out together. Football and video-games together. It’s perfect.
I text her about the plan, but she’s incredulous.
Why don’t you come over on Wednesday? Kurt and Chip are coming and we’re going to play Madden . I type.
What? Why would I want to play Madden with you guys? She types back.
Come on, I played truth or dare with you.
Fine, she types. See you on Wednesday. This better not be boring.
I chuckle to myself when I read her final text. No, I promise it won’t be boring.
When the day finally comes, I can barely concentrate. Class goes by in a blur. I veer between fantasizing about fucking that sweet ass of Lindsey’s and freaking out about what Kurt and Chip will do if I’m wrong. I plop in Madden, make sure my hypnosis watch is nearby, and clear off my bed. Everything is ready.
Everyone comes as planned. Kurt and Chip give me knowing looks, but Lindsey is her usual self. We play for half an hour before doing anything else. Of course, I am losing. I’m surprised when Chip is the one to break the ice.
“Hey, Trevor. Why don’t you show us your mind control skills?” He asks, still mashing on the buttons.
“Yeah, we heard that you and Lindsey got A’s in that class. I hope you’re better at hypnosis than playing football,” Kurt says. “Anyway, you’re better than us. We got F’s.”
I put my head down and pretend to be shy about it. “Well, it’s been a while since the class...”
    “Come on!” they yell.
I look over to Lindsey and she seems like she’s about to laugh. There’s a grin on her face that’s a little too amused at my discomfort.
“Can I use you?” I ask her.
    “Why me?”
“Well, I can’t use these guys. They want to see it, and you’ve already got it mastered. Right?”
I hold my breath. Please say yes.
“Fine...” Lindsey says. She groans and grabs a chair.
Yes! I rush to grab my watch and get this party started. Kurt and Chip watch as I swing my watch in front of Lindsey’s face.
“Okay Lindsey,” I say. “Focus on the watch and feel yourself start to relax. Just listen to my voice and drift into a relaxed state. No need to force it. Just go at your own pace. Keep your eyes on my watch and listen carefully to my voice.”
As I speak, Lindsey’s breath slows. Her limbs become a bit slack and her eyes are glued to the swinging watch.
“Take a deep breath in. Now hold it. Now take a deep breath out. With every breath, you will fall deeper and deeper into a trance. After your third breath you will to totally in the trance and your eyes will close.”
Just as I said, Lindsey takes three deep breaths. After the end of the third, her eyes
