another email from Daniel. She read it twice and then decided to just go to sleep with his words in her head. She’d respond tomorrow, that would be soon enough.
Up before the alarm the next morning left Cora plenty of free time as this was an off day from the gym.  So she turned on the TV, made some breakfast and fired up her laptop to reply.

    Daniel,
Wow, that’s a LOT of sisters . I have enough trouble with just the one, but if they are responsible for your sweet ways then womankind should be sending them a muffin basket, weekly.
You have my word that I will never ever subject you to French mimes ; consider it a solemn oath.
Yes, I did read the company handbook, check the server logs if you don’t believe me ;-).
The Time Traveler’s Wife, is a sci-fi bent tale only in the broadest terms, it is really more of a love story, filled with longing. A story about the way Claire waits for Henry, how she is always waiting, which strikes a chord with me, I suppose. I always have this sense of waiting and longing, for my life to really start, for the other shoe to drop. Maybe it was missing out on the going away to college experience and leaving home and being on my own for a while, but I always have this small piece of me that feels un-begun.  This was the author’s first published book and it was a marvelous first outing. I’m hoping she writes again soon.
Well , that was kinda deep of me at this time of the day, or at all. I thought about going back and erasing it and thought better of it as it’s how I really feel about it, and isn't this what we're trying to do, get to know each other... To do that there has to be a level of honesty,… so that was me, being honest…
Also, I talk in dangling sentences all the time, you’ll see “…” a lot, so if you’re like Kaelyn and this is going to be a problem, let me know now because this‘ll never work out . 
Dream Vacation: When I was little , my dad was in the Army and we traveled all over the world, but I was a child and didn’t appreciate any of it. I’d really like to go back to Germany, but at top of my list is Paris, it just seems like a fantastical place where there is nothing but magic, kinda like the Disneyland but with wine, chain smoking and a pervasive lack of deodorant.
Cats or dogs: Oh cats, for sure . I live with a cranky old half blind grand dame named Guinevere.
My nicest quality: Empathy, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to help out a friend or a family member, sometimes to my own detriment.
Band: I could never pick one, I have a serious iTunes addiction, there is always music playing in my house, my car, the gym. In heavy rotation currently are Coldplay, Carbon Leaf, and Maroon 5.
Why don’t I own a bike:  Well , we moved a lot growing up and you had to live a compact life that could be packed up and moved on short notice. Bikes are bulky and don’t box well.  When I finally grew up, had a job and lived on my own, I didn’t feel like I was fit enough to ride a bike, so no bike.
I consider the Blackberry to be golden handcuffs. I’m not truly essential personnel even though I’m the head of my little department, there isn’t anything I could fix via email if there were a serious issue, so if someone needs me they can call my pretty pink cellphone.
O kay, here’s a few more, this time I won’t answer. I want to see what you have to say…
First kiss, favorite childhood memory, what would you do if you weren’t doing what you do, what is your guilty pleasure, and what would people be surprised to know about you?
O kay, I need to head out to work, or I’ll be late and we can’t have that.
I did sleep well and had wonderful dreams, I was up before my alarm clock even. I can’t remember the last time that happened.
    Cora
PS I will buy you your Starbucks fix for a week, if you
