Bishop’s face was filled with disappointment. I’d hurt him.
Bishop
I was pissed. You never go against your man, even if we weren’t an official couple. You never go against your man. In public. In front of another nigga. That was the ultimate disrespect. I knew we weren’t an official couple, but when I slid inside Kai, I claimed her as mine. I knew I fucked up by not being completely honest with her about knowing her ex, but shit, what could I say? Now, she was treating a nigga like I was just another nigga and I didn’t appreciate that one bit. The only reason why I decided to bring her home was because I didn’t want her seeing that nigga until things cooled off. Really, I didn’t want her seeing him period, especially not right now. Not tonight. I hadn’t said shit to her the entire ride home. Yeah, it may have been petty for me to be mad since this was slick my fault, but I didn’t care. I didn’t care at all.
Layyah
I felt so bad about how things went down at the restaurant. I should’ve known Bishop was going to bring his crazy ass in the restaurant. I watched as Courtney paced back and forth in front of my TV. He was heated as to be expected. I just hoped he wasn’t thinking about doing anything crazy and ending up right back in jail.
Rell was blowing my phone up and I knew if I didn’t answer, he was going to be showing up at my door soon so I went into my bedroom and called him back.
“What’s up, Bae?” I asked.
“The hell you been? Why you ain’t been answering your phone?”
“I’m sorry. I was taking a shower. What’s up? When you stopping by?”
“I don’t know, babe. It’s going to be a long night at the studio. I might not be leaving out until 3 or 4.”
“You want me in your bed when you get home?”
“You know I do. I’ll see you then.”
“Okay, baby.”
When I ended the call and looked up, Courtney was standing at my doorway.
“What’s up, Court?” I asked, sitting my phone on my dresser.
“You need to help me get Kai back.”
“No, I’m not involved anymore. You gone handle this on your own from here on out.”
“I can’t get to her long as she with that nigga. You gotta help me, Lay.”
“No, the hell I don’t.”
“Yes, you do. If you don’t, I’ll tell her about us… and how I popped that cherry had you coming back night after night. Is that nigga you was talking to, hitting it right?”
I chuckled and shook my head at his dog ass.
“He takes great care of what’s his, Courtney. Thanks. I don’t appreciate you tryna blackmail me. That’s uncool. Kai is my baby. My sister. You can’t tell her about us. She’d never forgive me.”
“Well… you know what you need to do.” He walked over to my bed and stood in front of me. “You miss me? You really miss me?” he asked, running his fingers through my hair.
“You know I did, Court.”
“Show me how much you missed me, Lay.”
“How you go from asking me to help you get back with my best friend to trying to fuck me in the same conversation?”
“Ain’t shit changed between us, Layyah. Ain’t shit between us but sex, but with Kai… that’s all love.”
“No. I can’t do this to her. It was bad enough that we were fucking off back in the day. We can’t now.” I stood and tried to walk around him, but he gripped my neck with one hand, lifted me up and threw me back on the bed with the other hand.
He knew I loved that rough shit. Kai didn’t. That was why they’d only had sex once. He’d always say if we were combined, we’d be the perfect woman.
“Courtney, please…” I moaned, trying to gather myself.
“Shut the fuck up. You know you want this dick.”
My panties were drenched as I bit my lip. Spreading my legs, I poked my lips out for him to kiss.
“That’s my girl,” he spoke lightly before taking my tongue into his mouth. His hand found its way between my legs. “Why you try and fake me out like you don’t want me?”
He felt how wet I
