someone else do it.”
Her eyes widen. “Yes sir, of course.”
“Behave.” He grins, letting me go and walking off.
When he has shut the elevator doors, I breathe a sigh of relief, so does Haylee.
“Are you his girlfriend then?” She asks.
“Something like that. I hope you don’t think I will be bossy or anything, I just want to work like this rest of you.”
    This seems to please her.
“Ok then, come on and I will show you to your office.”
My office is beautiful, it overlooks the city and has full floor to ceiling glass windows. A mahogany desk with a black chair sits right in the middle of the room. I smile and look around, admiring the mini palms in one corner and the bookshelves and filing cabinets in the other.
“Ok, so this is the phone…” Haylee begins.
Three hours later my head hurts, but I think I have it covered. Haylee leaves me to sort and toss the bags of fan mail and file Trav’s papers. I open the massive bag of fan mail and tip it over my desk. Wow, seriously, wow. I begin going through it, reading the same dreamy crap. I love you, marry me, I am your biggest fan. Bleh. Then I come across another one, one that has the hairs on my arms standing to alert.
Travis, why is she back? I told you if she came back I would hurt her, or you. I don’t want to hurt her. Why can’t you just see we belong together? Why Travis? Get rid of her, I won’t warn you again. TravsAngel.
Who the fuck is Travs Angel? I take the piece of paper and walk out of the office. Haylee is on the phone, so I glance around looking for someone else. Janice, who is standing and chatting to another girl spots me and gives me a horrible glare.
    “Where is Trav?”
“It’s Mr. Phoenix to you.” She snaps.
“No, it’s Trav to me, it’s Mr. Phoenix to you or was I confused before? I am sure it was me he had bent over…”
    “Mischief”
I turn and Trav is behind me, giving me a look. I smile at him, and give him my best innocent eyes.
    “Hello Mr. Phoenix!” Janice smiles
“Janice, why are you up here?” He snaps.
    “I was delivering the mail.”
    “Fine, it’s delivered, go downstairs.”
“Yes, of course, will you require anything before I leave?”
I snort and Trav squeezes my arm.
    “Nothing, thank you”
When she is gone, I turn to him.
    “She is a dragon.”
    “I can’t deny that.”
“I wanted to talk with you about something; will you come into my office?”
He grins and follows me into my office.
    “What’s up?”
I hand him the letter, he narrows his eyes and then looks up at me.
    “It’s just fan mail.”
“I don’t think so Trav, she knows about me, whoever it is watches you.”
He rubs his chin with those long, sexy fingers.
“Ok, so if it is a crazy, who is it?”
    “I have no idea.”
“The mail all come s in through reception and then comes up here, it would have to be someone sending it by mail but someone who knows enough about me to know what I am doing.”
“Well, have you had any strange messages on your phone?”
    He thinks a moment.
“Well, there was a few but I delete most…”
    “What did they say?”
“Oh the usual; w here are you? When can we meet?”
I give him a look and he puts his hands up.
“I don’t meet any of them.”
    “So nothing strange then?”
    “No, nothing that stands out.”
I close my eyes and remember the note I found all those years ago at Trav’s house. Could this be the same person and if so, am I in danger? Worse, is he?

CHAPTER ELEVEN

I finish up before Trav and head over to Chief’s house. It is his birthday and I wanted to spend the night with him and the club. Trav is going to meet me after work. I wait for a cab on the sidewalk, it is getting dark and the sun is just disappearing behind the hills. I am glancing down at my phone, when a car pulls up. Assuming it is a cab, I look up only to face a very angry looking man.
    “Hello Mischief.”
I glance into his evil eyes; he is over six foot tall and
