town with her nearly naked beside him would’ve been torture. He tucked himself away and shoved the condom in his pocket. Nine more where that came from and they weren’t coming off empty. He stole a quick glance at the woman he intended to use them all with, then backed out of the spot. Yeah, he’d never look at this parking lot the same way.
Andie stiffened as he pulled away. “That Buick is gone.”
“The guy left while you were…occupied.”
Her eyes went wide. “Did he see anything?”
If he were with any other woman, he’d tell her no immediately. Reassure her that the dark tints and height of the cab ensured complete discretion. Not that he’d ever had another woman suck him in public like that. Only in his dreams. With Andie, though, he wasn’t sure no was the answer she wanted to hear. The way her lips curled into a wicked smile, the glint in her eyes when they drove under a streetlight—the woman had a naughty streak. He bet even she didn’t know how deep it ran.
“There’s no way he could see your face. Probably not mine, either.” Not a lie, but not the plain truth. A perfect answer, given the expression on her face. The idea of getting caught turned her on? He could cater to that, hell yes.
“Sorry we didn’t get to finish things.”
He reached over and grabbed her hand. “I’m not. I’d rather have you laid out on a big bed when I fuck you. The first time, anyway.”
Andie lived in the swankiest part of town. No shock there, her ex was a lawyer and a member of the prominent Finch family, either of which meant big money. Having both to his credit—Mason could only imagine what the guy was worth. The woman beside him didn’t come off snooty or privileged. Exactly the opposite. Maybe that figured into her divorce. He wanted to ask, wanted to know everything about her, really. There’d be time for long talks. Later.
She pointed to a monster executive home. “This one. Number 67.”
He swung into the driveway. Colored, stamped concrete, top notch, to go with the house. Tasteful outdoor lighting showcased pristine landscaping and immaculate grass. “Nice place,” he said while opening the passenger door.
“You want it? It’ll be on the market soon.”
“Big move or little move planned?”
“Downsizing, staying in town.” She dealt with the security system and gestured for him to enter. “I don’t need a place…like this,” she said, waving her hand at the foyer.
If she meant massive, he could see why. The foyer was almost as big as his kitchen. Speaking of kitchens, holy shit. His main floor could fit inside this one. Dark cherry cupboards, black granite, black appliances. Not Andie’s picks, he’d bet. Maybe it wasn’t the size of the house she wanted to change, but the style. She pulled a beer from the fridge and handed it to him. A Bud Light Lime. This, he pictured her choosing.
“It is a lot of house for two people.” He leaned on the counter and cracked open the beer. “But you might remarry, extend the family with more kids.” His move had been calculatingly casual. Her outburst of laughter was spontaneous and one hundred percent natural.
“Mason.” She leaned into him, hands spread flat on his chest. “You have nothing to worry about. I’m not out to snag you for marriage version two-point-oh, nor will I trap you with a baby. You’re safe.” She tiptoed up for a long, soft kiss. “I’m going to grab a shower. Finish your beer and meet me upstairs.”
The Bud crawled down his throat. He should be chugging it back and doing a happy dance. A funny, gorgeous, fucking sexy woman waited for him upstairs. She didn’t want his future or his sperm, just tonight and his Glad-wrapped cock.
He poured out half the beer and rinsed the bottle. Climbed the plush, carpeted stairs that led to what would undoubtedly be the hottest sex of his life. Afterward, he could walk away, satisfied and commitment free. Too bad he didn’t want that this time.
