one would do.”
“One woman shared between the two of you. You know, I’m still getting used to the idea,” Nina commented.
“A ménage commitment is not such a foreign concept once you come to understand that love is sharing, whether between two people or several,” Kyle told her.
Nina couldn’t help but produce a smile. “Yeah, I guess you’re right about that, especially when you’ve got two handsome men vying for your affection.”
Logan stared into her eyes. “There’s nothing we’d love more than to share your love, Nina. We’re serious about this. Tell me you’ll consider it.”
“I will, but my decision may teeter on whether or not Kyle’s meal hits the spot,” she explained.
“Oh, it’s on now. Dinner is served,” Kyle announced.
Making their way into the dining room, they sat down to a succulent seafood dinner complete with lobster tails, cracked crab, shrimp scampi, and an assortment of fresh salad and vegetables. The dinner was so delicious they decided they would save Kyle’s homemade lemon meringue pie for later.
Afterwards, Nina wanted to stretch her legs. Logan and Kyle suggested they take a stroll around the property. The crisp evening air felt refreshing as a gentle breeze blew throughout the neighborhood.
The longer she spent with the two men, the more she wanted to explore the possibility of a threesome with them. They were both so irresistibly charming. It was becoming increasingly difficult for her to resist the offer of making her the focal point of their ménage. She knew the time was drawing near when she would have to give them a definitive answer.
When they returned to the house, Logan showed her into the living room, where Nina took a seat on the tan leather sofa. Kyle walked over to the bar and a few minutes later, he carried the after dinner drinks in on a silver tray. Nina could smell the spicy body spray he wore. It was triggering her desire for him, but she tried to remain seemingly unaffected.
“I made you a strong whiskey sour, Nina. I hope that was OK,” he said, handing her the glass.
“Oh, yes, you know it. Thank you,” she replied with a smile.
Logan took a seat next to her, while Kyle sat opposite them on the matching loveseat. The three of them got comfortable, taking a few minutes to discuss the task at hand.
“It makes me sick to think this pyro is still on the loose. We’ve got to catch him,” Logan said, stroking his forehead in frustration.
“Nina and I have an idea about how we can sniff him out,” Kyle told him.
“Well, what are you two waiting for? Fill me in,” Logan replied.
“At every crime scene, a locket was recovered. In each case, it had been reported as missing by a female member of the household,” Nina explained.
“We’re thinking the perp stole them from each woman and then returned them to the homes after he set the fires,” Kyle added.
“What the hell for?” Logan asked.
“We think they hold some special meaning for him, maybe some kind of sentimental value. Whatever the connection, it could be the only solid lead we have right now,” Nina said.
“He had to have access to their homes at some point. How else could he have stolen the jewelry?” Kyle asked.
Nina looked more determined than ever. “I’m going to contact the victims again on Monday. Maybe they had someone working in or around their property, someone who could have taken the items without them noticing.”
“You are a regular private eye if you ask me,” Logan said, smiling at her.
“It’s part of my job,” Nina replied. “It helps me get to the bottom of things a lot faster.”
“Speaking of which, you look amazing in that dress, Nina. I love the way it hugs your tight, round bottom to perfection,” Kyle commented. “Would you please come over here to me? I want to get a closer look.”
When Nina stood up, the powerful effect of the drink took over. She felt lightheaded, and her limbs seemed weightless. She approached Kyle
