right?”
“I just wanted some company. I’m on my way home from the office. If you want to bring something to drink, I’ll stop and pick up some take out. We can have a girls’ night.”
“Is there anything else I should bring?”
“I’ll let you decide on that one.”
I knew what she meant, but I wasn’t going to come right out and say it. I was still a little shy, even though it wasn’t the first time.
“Okay,” she laughed. “I’ll see you in about an hour.”
I rushed home and took a shower to wash away the gloom of the day. I was just getting dressed when I heard the soft knock on my door. I ran a comb through my hair and walked quickly through the apartment to answer the door. I was still a little nervous so I looked through the opening and saw Carly standing there holding a large shopping bag.
“It took you long enough,” she said when I opened the door.
“Sorry. I just got out of the shower,” I apologized. “The food is in the kitchen. I hope Chinese is okay.”
“As long as there are egg rolls,” she said as she put the bag on the table.
    “Of course,” I smiled.
“Where are your wine glasses?” she asked, popping the cork on a bottle of white wine.
“In that cabinet over the sink. You want chopsticks or a fork?”
“I can’t do chopsticks. I’m not patient enough.”
Neither of us said a lot in the beginning. I mostly picked at my food, not really eating.
“You know you need to eat,” she finally said.
“I know. I just don’t have much of an appetite today.”
“Rough day? Never mind. I could tell by your tone on the phone that it was a rough day. You want to tell me about it?”
    “Just the usual,” I answered.
Carly picked up both of our wine glasses and took my hand. I followed her to the living room without a word. She eased me down on the sofa and put the glasses on the coffee table. Sitting beside me, she stroked my damp hair and tried to console me.
“It’s going to be okay,” she said.
    “I know, but it’s hard.”
“You just have to be patient a little while longer. Neil will be back soon, you guys can find a place to live together, and all will be right in the world.”
I looked into her eyes and immediately forgot all about my problems. This may sound twisted, but she was my only real connection to Neil at that time. He had introduced us and being near her made me feel like I was somewhat near him.
Before I realized what I was doing, I had leaned in and kissed her luscious lips. I couldn’t get enough of her flavored lip gloss. My tongue pressed into her mouth and she wrapped her arms around me. Leaning back, she pulled me on top of her. I could feel her breasts through the thin material of her blouse. She broke the kiss and pushed me back slightly.
    “Are you sure about this?”
“Of course I am,” I said and tried to kiss her again.
“I don’t want you to regret this later on and think that I took advantage of you in a vulnerable situation.”
“I invited you here. You aren’t taking advantage of anything.”
I pushed myself up and slowly unbuttoned her blouse to expose her beautiful round breasts. Her chest rose and fell slowly as she breathed. I admired her slim body for a moment before I hungrily licked and sucked on her nipples. She held my head to her and pushed it lower. My tongue ran down her stomach to the edge of her skirt and back up to her neck.
I slid my hand under her skirt and found her wetness. My fingers easily slid inside of her and she raised her hips into the air. I slowly eased my fingers in and out of her as she unbuttoned my jeans.
I drew in a sharp breath when her finger pressed into my swollen clit. She rubbed across it and up and down between my lips.
“Oh yeah,” I moaned as she penetrated me with her fingers.
She thrust in and out of me as fast as the restriction of my jeans would allow. I moaned and fucked her faster with my own fingers. We both moaned as our bodies became a writhing tangled heap
