CHAPTER ONE

So here I was at a shifter bar, and I had no idea what the fuck I was doing. I’d pulled up in the parking lot a few minutes ago, desperately horny and kinda lonely too. I’d heard that shifters liked curvier girls — and I was definitely that. I had generous, round breasts that filled out a G cup, and hips that made my round ass shimmy when I walked. I didn’t have any problems thinking that I was sexy, but it seemed like most ordinary guys didn’t agree. I was also loud-mouthed, sarcastic, and liked my liquor straight. When I went up to the nice, nerdy-looking hipsters at the local pub, they’d put down their PBR in distress and mutter something about having to go home early.
Next to the skinny model types around here, I thought my long wavy curls of brunette hair — not to mention my red lips, slim waist, and my hot ass would definitely get me a second look.
    Hell, I just wanted to get laid. I wasn’t looking for a commitment. I wasn’t even really looking for a date — just a good lay. A leg-shaking, earth-shattering, toe-curling good time.
So I guess that’s what took me to the shifter bar.
I’d known a shifter in college, but he was an engineering major who didn’t really give off sexy vibes. He was good friend, but nothing more than that. It hadn’t crossed my mind that he’d be sexy, even though he was a werebear. Recently though, my friend Marguerite had told me that shifters liked girls like me. She was one of those skinny types — no hate for her, only love, for real — and she said she couldn’t get a second look when she went out with some friends to the shifter bar outside of town. The pack had been nice enough, and a couple of guys offered to buy her a drink, but they’d been all over her curvy friend. She said one of the shifter girls there had explained it. Shifters, especially wolves, are looking to fuck . They want a girl to grab on to, big breasts to play with, and an ass that begs for sex.
I’d ended up here, and I’d frozen in the parking lot, watching the sexy male and female shifters walking in and out of the bar, making out in the parking lot. There was a couple fucking in the back of a truck a few cars away, the big-titted girl riding this huge, hot muscular dude like her life depended on it. Even with the windows rolled all the way up, I could hear them groaning and crying out. I guess the rest of the people — er, shifters — could hear them too. It seemed like no one was too concerned. I guess since shifters live in a constant state between human and animal, things like nakedness and sex don’t matter all that much to them. It’s an animal need, and they fill it without shame and without judgment from others around them.
I could have used a little of that. Sighing, I put my keys in my purse and swallowed my anxiety. If I ever did want to get laid, I’d have to suck up my fear of rejection and face the music. I was louder, curvier, and more sexual than most women. That scared a lot of men.
And it had left me a virgin at the age of twenty-two.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Pretty lame. I’d come close a few times, but something always happened — a limp, intimidated dick at the last second, or a boyfriend who wasn’t ready to deflower me. Spare me the theatrics, and let’s just get to fucking. Maybe a shifter would be different. I got out of my car, slamming the door behind me and tottering on my heels. A few heads turned and looked in my direction. I thought I might have even caught a few of the shifters sniffing the air, trying to read what I was about. I wobbled a bit on my heels and then adjusted myself, walking sexily to the door.
“ID,” said the bouncer, a big burly shifter in a leather jacket. Even though I didn’t know much about shifters then, I thought he was definitely a bear by the looks of him. He sniffed at the air around me and growled softly as I handed him my license.
“Here you go … uh, sir.” I smiled. He handed my ID
