still wet for me?” he asked.
    “So very wet . . .”
He wanted his orders to sound more like a request but was unable to curb the urge to exercise his power. “Spread your legs for me.”
Ann opened up for him. Parker slid in between her legs and propped himself up, supported by his hands on either side of her body. Slowly, he pushed his hips down until he was touching her sensitive skin. He teased her by aiming his tip to her opening. She bucked, eager to meet his aching erection.
“Please . . . don’t make me wait any longer.” The plea taunted his swelling pride.
In one swift move, he plunged his erection into her welcoming warmth. Her wetness allowed him to shift until her walls closed in on him. Parker gave a quick thrust, and she let out a smothered cry.
He silenced Ann with his mouth, kissing her with intense hunger and feeling very much in control now that he was inside her. Her bound hands wormed around his neck, and their bodies crashed together, adding more sparks to his lust receptors. Parker braced his body with his hands and began pounding into her with gusto.
Ann’s arousal, mixed with his, created an incredible scent around them, and Parker quickened the pace when her legs twined around his waist and linked behind him. He stroked harder, soliciting moans of delight from her as he rode her. Her cries fueled his lust. Sweating and panting hard, Parker felt her ruptured release as her body shook underneath him. He reached his own peak in a matter of seconds, as if a bolt of lightning had exploded around him.
With a groan, he landed like a ragdoll on top of her. They stayed quiet for a long time before he found the strength to roll over. Man, mind-numbing couldn’t even begin to describe his emotions at the moment. He felt her body tremble next to him, followed by a pinched sob.
“Ann, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Parker bolted into an upright position and ran his fingers along her face. He felt the dampness on her cheeks.
    “Woo-rah,” her weak voice croaked.

Chapter 5

Really? After earth-shattering and heart-pounding sex, you’re crying? Kelly silently scolded herself while she sought the warmth Parker’s embrace provided. She snuggled closer, loving his scent and the rock-hard chest she nestled against. Burying her face, she tried to stifle her sobs but was powerless to stop the flood of tears once the gate was opened.
“Hey . . . did I hurt you in any way?”
Parker’s eyes were gazing into hers. It made her ache to think he couldn’t see her face. There was no way he would recognize her. She felt like a heel for subjecting him to unnecessary worry. If only she could put her trust in another man again.
    “No . . .”
    “Why the tears?”
His hands went to her face, no doubt to feel her emotions. In the few hours they’d been together, she’d discovered his gentle nature and wondered where he had been all her life.
    “Just overwhelmed, I guess.”
It wasn’t a lie, but it wasn’t the whole truth either. Still reeling from their amazing lovemaking, Kelly couldn’t keep her tears at bay, because she hadn’t felt this good in a long, long time. What must Parker be thinking? On both occasions they’d been together, she’d managed to blubber like a small child. How could she tell him that she’d been lying to him all along? Well, maybe not a full-blown lie, but intentionally omitting the most important aspect of her identity constituted lying.
“Damn it! This is the part I hate.” Parker’s hands kept tracing the path of her tears to wipe them away. Although his mood had shifted, the hands on her face remained gentle and steady.
“Which part?” She looked up and found him staring at her forehead.
“I can’t see your face. I can’t make out your expression. I have to rely on what you tell me and what I can sense. It gets frustrating sometimes.”
“Why?” Kelly propped up on her elbows to watch his expression.
    “I don’t think what
