give him something. He’d given me so much.
“I know you’ll have to take a few days off from classes. Is that okay?” I’d make it okay.
“Yes. Oh Fin, I’m so excited!” I hadn’t travelled anywhere in so long.
“You’re already mentally packing, aren’t you?” he said a few seconds later. How did he know?
“No,” I said, even though I was lying. He just grinned to himself and then went to put dinner on the table.
“So I’ve been thinking,” I said.
“That can be dangerous, you know,” he said. Wow, he was in a really good mood. I smacked him on the arm and continued.
“I’ve been thinking that maybe I might like to move in with you. I love this apartment. It feels like home. And it has all of your stuff in it, which I also love.” Being surrounded by Fin’s things had been so nice when he’d been gone. I didn’t know how I would have gotten through it without having this place to visit when I needed to.
“You want to move in here?”
“Yes. Is that okay?” He’d been so enthusiastic about it before.
“Oh, I want you to move in with me, but I wasn’t sure if you’d want to come here. I thought you might want to get a new place and buy furniture together.” Oh. I hadn’t thought about that. Buying furniture with Fin. Picking a color scheme and arguing about curtain fabric. I couldn’t help but smile when I thought about it. Our styles were so different, it would be interesting to see what kind of house we’d put together.
“Well, that’s something else to consider,” I said. “And we’d need to figure out how to do rent and utilities and all that. I’m not letting you take care of everything. I’ll let you get away with a lot, but not that.” He opened his mouth and I knew he was going to protest, but I slapped my hand over it to stop him.
“Nope. No negotiation. If we’re doing this, we’re doing it fifty-fifty.” He licked my palm and I moved my hand.
“Ninety-ten,” he said. “With me doing the ninety.”
I narrowed my eyes. “Fifty. Fifty.”
    “Eighty-twenty.”
What had I gotten myself into?

Look for the final episode of
    Deep Surrendering
    Episode 11
when it comes out on January 22nd.

I can’t believe we’re almost there. Almost to the end. Well, the end of this particular part of Fin and Marisol’s story. I sometimes like to think what happens to my characters after I’m done writing down their words. Thank you for being there for this part of their journey. We only have a little bit more to go…
