eh?”
Sven nodded. “But I like to go native wherever I go. You were having whiskey, so that’s what I had.”
Joshua made himself a nightcap, filling the glass to the rim with ice and whiskey. “How are you doing?” It was a softly voiced question. After several seconds of silence, he added, “Can’t stop thinking about what happened with Annika?”
“Precisely.” Sven breathed a soft sigh of relief. “I’ve never done anything like that in my life. Not even close to like that. With another man being there, that is.”
“I’ve been in a few ménage à trois situations in my life, but every time it happened, I was the only man with two women.”
Sven nodded vigorously in agreement. “I am not the kind of man who shares.”
“And I’m not the kind of man who—” Joshua stopped himself before using his usual, and coarse, phrase for having sex with a woman after another man had already been with her. “Let’s just say that I don’t like being the second man to take a woman to the dance floor.”
Sven smiled expansively. “No Juicy Lucys for you?”
“That’s what you call it in Norway? In American we call it sloppy seconds.”
“No matter what you call it, that’s not our style.”
“But tonight, for me, it was.” Joshua took a sip of his whiskey then took a big swallow. He enjoyed the burn as the liquor went down his throat. “It was like she’d put fire in my veins.” He combed fingers through his hair and sighed, shaking his head slowly. “I never saw this coming.”
“Neither did I, my friend,” Sven replied, putting a hand on the American’s shoulder. “I’ve never mixed business with pleasure, and now I have in the biggest way possible.”
Movement drew Joshua’s attention, and he watched as Annika stepped into the room then stopped. She wore a lightweight, belted robe that came down just to the middle of her thighs. Beneath it, she had on pajamas of some sort—Joshua couldn’t see exactly—but her legs were tapering and bare, and the fullness of her bosom was now on display. His body and libido instantly warmed to her presence, and in the back of his mind, Joshua wondered if Annika had bewitched him somehow, using magic to entice him as other women hadn’t.

Annika looked at Sven and Joshua, standing near the liquor cart, and thought, My God, those are handsome men. Is it any wonder I let them both fuck me?
The coarseness of the F word, even though she had only thought it and hadn’t spoken in, made her close her eyes for a moment and give her head a little shake. When she looked at the men again, she saw the way their gazes raked up and down over her, assessing her charms and, it would seem, finding them appealing. She was glad now she’d chosen the teddy with a short robe and not the body-concealing nightshirt.
“Please tell me there’s a gin and tonic with my name on it,” Annika said, hoping to lessen the tension in the room. “A strong one is in order.”
“Coming right up,” Joshua said, already beginning to make her cocktail.
Annika felt butterflies in her stomach as, barefooted, she walked closer to the men. By no means a sexually intemperate woman, she had no experience to fall back on. How was a woman to behave with two men she’d just had sex with? She hadn’t quite taken the nightcap from Joshua’s outstretched hand when she began thinking that this evening was the biggest, most foolish mistake of her life.
She took several sips of the drink. Neither man had fully closed his robe, and she thought their sleep attire interestingly characteristic of them. Joshua was mouthwatering in his boxer briefs and T-shirt, and Sven was the very definition of eye candy in his silk pajamas and robe.
“I’m not really sure what happened tonight,” she finally began, “but please understand that the way I behaved is something that’s never happened before, and will never happen again.” She watched as both men reacted negatively to her
