I had to have it.”
He was glad she had to have it, too. The gown fit her
proportions and accentuated her best features. The bodice boosted her breasts
and cinched around her waist like a second skin. She reminded him of an angel—a
naughty angel.
“I’m glad we decided to come back to Vegas for Christmas.”
Allyson stepped in close to him and wrapped her hands around his forearm. “What
do you have planned for tonight? Christmas movies? Wine?” Her eyes glittered. “A
good Christmas fuck?”
Jordy swallowed his fear and removed the Santa hat he wore.
If he didn’t get moving with his surprise, he’d never go through with the plan.
He dropped to one knee. “Babe, I don’t want you just as my playmate or my
girlfriend. You’re more than a sub to me. Let’s make Christmas even more
special. Will you marry me?”
The sparkles on her bodice caught the light as she gasped
and tried to breathe. She covered her mouth with both hands and a tear slipped
down her cheek.
Jordy stared at her. Why wasn’t she saying yes? He glanced
down at his hands. Fuck. He’d forgotten to offer up the ring. He swatted his
coat pocket to ensure the box was there, then pulled the box out. He opened the
flocked lid.
“This tends to work better when there’s a ring involved.” He
tugged the diamond ring from the black satin. “How about now? Will you marry
me?”
“You know I will.” She tugged lightly on his fingers,
hauling him to his feet. “You own my heart.”
He breathed a sigh of relief and slipped the ring onto her
finger. One hurdle down…one to go. “Then come with me down to the chapel. I don’t
want to wait. We’re here, it’s Christmas and I can’t think of a better, more
private way to do this on our special holiday.”
Her smile widened and she nodded. “So this was your grand
surprise?” She kissed him hard on the lips. “I love it.” She stayed close and
whispered, “I can’t wait for you to unwrap your present this year.”
“Whatever it is, as long as it’s from you, it’s perfect.” He
wrapped his arm around her. “Ready?”
“To spend the rest of my life with you, Jordy Murphy? Yes, I
am.”
Jordy escorted her through the lobby to the chapel and
grinned the entire way. He’d found his heart and his soul mate in the most
beautiful package. Now he’d have many more Christmases and forever to spend
with her. Merry Christmas, indeed.
About Wendi Zwaduk
Like spicy romance? So do I! Come along on this journey with
me.
I’ve always dreamt of writing the stories in my head. Tall,
dark and handsome heroes are my favorites, as long as they have independent
women keeping them in line. I love playing with words and letting the
characters run wild. Ohio farmland, dirt racing, animals and second chance
romance all feature prominently in my books. I’ve got a fetish for faded
concert tees, loud music and Jeeps.
