Jack opened the front door before Merry had the chance to knock.
    “You look beautiful.”
“Thank you.” Knowing this was their last night together, she’d taken even more care with her appearance than usual. She’d left her hair loose to spill down her back the way he liked it, the waves secured at her temple on one side with a rosebud clip. Feeling feminine and sexy, she smiled up at him and handed over an expensive bottle of white wine.
Taking the wine from her, Jack reached out and gently clasped the back of her head. He threaded his fingers through her hair and drew her toward him kissing her soundly. Intensifying the kiss, he held her tight against him as his tongue invaded her mouth. Merry slid her hand up his chest, resting over his heart where she grasped the material of his shirt, the other she dug into his thick hair and pulled him closer. By the time their lips parted Jack looked dazed and Merry was sagging breathlessly against his hard body.
Blinking at him, eyes sparkling, Merry murmured, “I like the way you say hello.”
Kicking the door shut and taking her hand, Jack all but dragged Merry through to the kitchen where he promptly discarded the wine. “I need you. Now,” he rasped, drawing her back into his arms. Merry’s gray eyes darkened to the color of slate. “You, Jack Campbell, are insatiable.”
Grinning at her, walking her backward until they reached the table, he said, “What would you say if I told you I want you to get up on the table and spread your legs for me?”
Always believing actions spoke louder than words, Merry untangled herself from his arms. She gripped the wood and never taking her eyes from his, lifted herself up. Wriggling into position, shoulders square and palms flat on the table, she parted her thighs for him and waited.
The air around them throbbed with tension, the only sound in the room their labored breathing. “Lift your dress up over your hips and lose the panties.” His voice was low, hoarse, as though it hurt too much to talk.
Slowly, Merry slid the silk of her dress up her thighs to reveal inches of smooth peachy skin. Higher, revealing the silk that covered her mound. Higher. She hooked her thumbs in her panties and peeled them down. Lifting her hips, she slid the material under her bottom and smoothed it down until it slid over her ankles and dropped to the floor. “Open your legs wider—I want to look at you.”
Merry parted her thighs. Her clit pulsed, needing the easing rub of his fingers but he didn’t move from his spot. She bit her lip and waited to see where he would take her next.
    “Wider.”
Careful to keep the skirt at her hips, she spread her legs impossibly wide, giving him everything.
“Beautiful,” he whispered. “Now unbutton the dress.”
Merry’s fingers deftly worked the tiny silk-covered buttons that ran down the front of her dress, and she didn’t stop until all of them were opened. A shuddering breath had the gaping material slide from her shoulders and down her arms. Behind the lace of her bra her nipples turned to hard little pearls, sitting up and begging for his attention. Merry arched her back and her breasts jutted forward temptingly.
Jack’s eyes devoured every inch of her and he licked his lips. “Now the bra.”
Reaching behind her, she unhooked the clasp and let the scrap of lace drift down her arms and fall to the floor to join her panties. Bare now apart from the rosebud in her hair and the slip of silk at her hips Merry waited.
Jack fought for control of his body as she did what he asked. Greedy for her, he had to exercise remarkable restraint not to rip open his fly and sink between the glossy lips of her exposed pussy. She truly was a remarkable sight, the bare delicate pink folds parted and shimmering with her want. But this was their last night together and he wanted to make every second count. After tonight all they would have were these memories.
    Tempting him further, Merry tilted
