    “Trying to kill me?” he accused.
    “What are you talking about?” she asked. Had he bumped his head? Why in the hell was he acting so weird? She glanced over the seat at the others to make sure that no one was watching. Adam was driving while Cole directed him from the passenger seat. Brady and Mitch were still discussing the quick rescue, retelling how they’d caught Ryder by surprise.
