stubble on his face. I couldn’t wait until later when I could…
“Nic!” I looked up and everyone was staring at me. “Damn , girl, snap out of lala land and let’s go. We are up!” Christen grabbed my hand and started to pull me toward the stage. My legs felt like jelly, and I hoped I had this performance in me.
By the time we got up to the stage and got our microphones, my excitement started to build. When the girls all wanted to do a song together , I had picked this one specifically with Jason in mind. We all stepped onto stage as the MC started the introduction. “Our next act is a group of ladies. Please welcome Madison, Holly, Nicole, and Christen singing Lady Marmalade!”
The whole time we were singing and dancing , I kept looking back at Jason. He looked like his mouth was about to hit the floor. When Christen and I started dancing and grinding with each other, I thought he was going to combust. When we made our way back to the table, the look on Carter and Jason’s faces were priceless. Christen leaned into my ear and whispered, “I wish Shawn was here for that. He is pretty hot when he is around for more than five minutes.”
“Listen , lady, I don’t know what is going on with that boy. He has been changing lately, but none of us can get it out of him. He is a good guy, though.”
With that , I made my way over to Jason and wrapped my arms around him. “So, how was I?”
He looked at me with those bedroom eyes that I just couldn’t get enough of. “Baby, we need to go home, now.”
    “Why?”
“Because, between both of your performances and what happened in between, I am seriously dying here.”
I laughed and gave him a kiss. “Well , you will just have to wait until later, because we are all going drinking and dancing at Rebellion.”
I saw the reluctance in his eyes , but I didn’t care. I was having fun, being the one in control.
When we got to the club , it was packed. Thank God Carter was with us, or I wasn’t sure we would have gotten in. We all headed straight for the dance floor, while the guys got us drinks. I started dancing next to Maddy and leaned in close to her. “You okay, babe? I know the last time we were here wasn’t a good night.”
She looked over at me and I could tell she had been thinking the same thing. “I’m not ok ay, Nic, but I’m trying to be. I really just want to try to have a good night and forget all of that crap.”
“Deal!” I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a hug. “Now , bring that sexy ass my way and let’s give the boys a heart attack.”
When the guys came back with the drinks, they had nothing shy of heart failure. They spent the rest of the night trying to form a protective circle around the four of us, which was difficult when there were only two people. Every time a guy got close to us, one of them intercepted. We didn’t care. We weren’t dancing for other guys, we were just having fun together.
I felt someone come up behind me and grab my hips . Was someone able to break their barrier? If so he better hightail it out of here before they break him. I turned around to warn the poor guy and saw it was Jason.
“We are leaving now . Carter and I are exhausted, and I am rock fucking hard and I need to be inside of you.”
I was definitely not going to fight him on this , like I had a choice. He was already pulling me toward the exit at lightning speed. “What about everyone else, J?”
“Carter has them . The only thing I am concerned about right now is getting you home and naked.”
We barely got in the apartment door , when Jason tackled me. He shoved me against the front door, and crashed his mouth to mine, biting, nipping, and sucking like I was his favorite food. He started to take off my shirt, but I stopped him. “What the fuck, Nic?”
“Go sit on the couch, I want to do something .”
I grabbed his phone, went over to the iPod dock, found the song I was looking for , and hit play.
