her five years at the Institute.
“Fine,” Ally relented, tucking a wayward lock of her long black hair behind her ear. “I guess it would help for a wolf shifter to engage his sense of smell while learning the stages of human female arousal. Smell is more important to wolves than sight or sound. That’s probably the reason why porn wouldn’t be a good option for the pack males. On the other hand, a prostitute would carry the smell of too many men. Her scent would be considered repulsive for an instinctively possessive alpha wolf. What I don’t understand is how the Board determined I would be the best woman for the job?”
Jack took off his glasses pinching the bridge of his angled nose before he answered. “We all agreed we needed someone who was sympathetic to pack issues, someone who has knowledge of the existence of shifters, and someone who Gerrick and his pack trust. Your role as a therapist and behaviorist encompasses all of these criteria.”
By ‘we’ Ally knew Jack meant Gerrick Rogue and his alphas, which included the broodingly handsome Ryker Black. Did Ryker want to see me masturbate for his pack mates? If I agree to help with this unorthodox initiative, will he watch?
Jack continued, “In addition, we had to consider the pack’s specific tastes in females, which ruled out most of the Institute's existing staff.”
The large majority of female staff consisted of breast-augmented bimbos who threw themselves at Gerrick and his alphas at every opportunity. Gerrick and his pack, however, never once showed any interest in the Institute’s bimbos.
Wolves were attracted to females with a fuller figure. They needed a real woman with wide hips, large breasts, and a full ass. Shifter males detested anything fake or implanted - that included breasts, noses, teeth, or anything else. A wolf’s ideal mate was a female who would be sturdy enough to handle their aggressive sexual needs and, as it happened, Ally fit that bill nicely.
“That left only you and Dr. Lucas,” Jack continued.
Jennifer Lucas was the pack’s full-time physician. She lived just outside pack territory and rarely visited the Institute. Ally had never met the woman in person, but she admired her work and her dedication to the Twin Canyon Pack.
“I can assure you that most of the Institute staff petitioned for Dr. Lucas to conduct the demonstration, but Gerrick adamantly refused to even consider her participation. He was totally beyond reason when we suggested the doctor for this initiative. “I hate to admit it, but no one had the courage to challenge his position.”
Ally could understand why. The leader of the shifter pack was not someone you questioned. Gerrick Rouge was built like a tank; tall and broad, with a shag of blond hair that resembled a lion’s mane. He was intensely serious and represented the pack in all its affairs. He also had a habit of descending his fangs whenever he was displeased, which quite frankly scared the shit out of Ally, as well the rest of the Institute staff.
“So everyone just agreed I’d be the default?” Ally asked angrily.
“No, not everyone. We knew you’d be uncomfortable with the decision and there were a number of us who spoke up. Dr. Owens refused to vote for you and Ryker Black actually became openly hostile when you were chosen. So much so that the meeting was adjourned and two pack alphas had to physically escort him out.”
The fact that Ryker was so determined not to see Ally demonstrate for his pack stung. She knew from past encounters that the large brooding wolf shifter didn’t like her. But to have him express his dislike so openly in front of the Board and her peers was embarrassing.
“So if I agreed to do this, you don’t think Ryker would attend?” Ally asked, knowing that would be the only way she would even consider participating.
“If his reaction today was anything to judge by, then I guarantee Mr. Black will not attend.”
    Even with that reassurance, Ally
