smells like a whorehouse in here.”
Patrick grimaced. He didn’t think his arousal would have been that potent. Then again, he hadn’t expected Gabriel to show up. Hiding the scent of his lust for Jacob was easy enough when it was only the two of them being that Jacob’s human nose couldn’t pick up anything.
“I’ll leave you two alone then.”
Gabriel looked over his shoulder at Jacob. “Aw, you don’t have to go away. Your presence is always more than welcome.”
Jacob snorted. “Sure it is you horny asshole.”
“Oh, you wound me.” Gabriel put a hand over his heart. Jacob just rolled his eyes, but he smiled.
“I’ve got some rounds to make as it is,” Jacob said. He looked around Gabriel. “I’ll be back in a few hours. I promised Mrs. Robinson that I’d have some tea with her and I’d rather she not croak and come back to haunt me forever for missing out on that.”
Patrick smiled lifting his hand in a little wave as Jacob left the door way closing it behind him.
“You really should tap that before someone else does, mate.”
Gabriel’s words made Patrick frown. Gabriel held up his hands. His smile was wide and knowing and Patrick found himself also rolling his eyes before sitting back down in his chair.
“Whatever Gabe. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company?”
Gabriel laughed and walked over to sit on the couch. “Just as I said. I just came to congratulate you on your novel.”
    “And…”
“And to tell you to stop being a pussy and fuck your pet.”
“Right, that’s what I figured,” Patrick bit out. He turned his attention back to his computer screen where the words he’d just written stared back at him tauntingly. “Gabriel we’ve had this conversation a million times.”
“And each time I hear you spout out more and more bullshit,” Gabriel said. “You want him, he wants you. Why all the games and avoidance?”
Patrick shook his head. “I’m not avoiding anything. He doesn’t want sex with me and I would never force him.”
“I never said anything about force. You know damn well I am all about consent.”
    “I know, Gabe.” Patrick sighed.
“Just…” Gabe trailed off prompting Patrick to look up at him. The other vampire looked thoughtful. “I think things might be far more mutual than you think, Pat. As much I smell you all over Jacob, I smell him just as much all over you.”
“Of course you do, we share a bed.”
“That’s not what I mean,” Gabriel said in annoyance. “I want you to consider the possibility that perhaps Jacob wants you as much as you want him and that perhaps he’s waiting for you to get over whatever fucked up issues you have so mutual orgasms can commence.”
Patrick laughed. “Thanks for that, but I’m pretty sure that all Jacob wants is to keep getting paid.”
Gabriel hummed at that and the two of them lapsed into silence. It was a silence finally broken by Jacob’s return.
“Jesus you two are fucking creepy when you do that.”
Patrick blinked slowly, mind coming back online and he looked up to see Jacob standing in the door way. Glancing over at the couch, he saw Gabriel blink a few times as well before the vampire smiled.
“I take it back, you’re creepy when you smile vamp boy,” Jacob said. Gabriel’s smile turned into a smirk.
“You have no idea, pet.” The word ‘pet’ made Jacob scowl. “But maybe one day you will.” Gabriel stood up from the couch. “I’ve got to run. There’s a delightful little bartender that I am dying to sink my teeth into.”
Patrick could see Jacob’s body tense and he stood up from his chair in case he needed to run interference. Surprisingly, Jacob said nothing as Gabriel gave a little salute before he slipped out of the room.
“Are you okay? Did something happen to—“
Patrick was interrupted by Jacob walking swiftly over to him. He was so stunned that he allowed the other man to push him back into his desk chair, turning it to the side so Jacob
