didn’t know what to do; she had to say yes really, she had to keep him close just until tomorrow night.
“Yes Jordan, I will be your girlfriend.” she said smiling; he pulled her into him and put his arms around her, kissing her neck. They lied together for hours; she wrapped her body around his as he stroked her hair.
They both slept well that night. She woke up early and could feel his muscular arms wrapped around her. It felt elating.
She laid there for some time thinking about tonight. A part of her didn’t want to go ahead with it, but as she heard Cecile’s humming from downstairs, she knew she had no choice. She needed to speak to Lorcan; she just needed to get Jordan out the house for a bit. She felt guilty for what she was about to do.
She actually enjoyed Jordan’s company, a lot.  But she knew she needed to do it. If not she would lose Cecile.
    Jordan woke up looking dazed.
    “Good morning,” Elizabeth said brightly.
“Morning.” Jordan said lazily as he wriggled over to her. He pulled her closer to him.
“I love waking up with you.” He said sweetly. Tears prickled her eyes as she thought of losing him.
“You need to leave; I have loads to do today.” She said bluntly. He sat up and looked upset.
“Oh… ok, well I will see you later then.” Jordan said grumpily. She turned around and hugged him tightly.
“I want you to stay, I do. It’s just I have things I need to do, Umm family stuff.” She lied.
He got out of bed and got dressed. She watched him getting changed and felt gutted that she would never again see his hot body.
He kissed her gently on the lips and walked out the door with a grin on his face.
“Men.” Elizabeth rolled her eyes at Cecile. Cecile just laughed that was something Elizabeth had not heard in a long time.
“I’m glad that you’re happier now.” She smiled sweetly at her. If only she knew what her plans were for tonight.
Elizabeth rang Lorcan and asked him to come over, she told Cecile to keep quiet about last night. Lorcan was always the jealous type and she did not want anything to affect her plans.
She brushed her hair straining to get her curls under control, she quickly gave up. Elizabeth walked into the bathroom and jumped into the shower, no time for a bath, she thought.
When she got out she dried her hair, brushed it and put on her pale pink lipstick, she knew that Lorcan loved this colour. Today was going to be a good day, she thought, I get to maintain Cecile’s life, leave this place and not look back.
She thought of the Limnades, all she knew about them is what Lorcan had told her. The Limnades are powerful creatures who take the personality of the water they live in and how they are bound to that place. They are immortal creatures and can only procreate once every one hundred years. She could hear Lorcans voice of wisdom as she recited this in her head. She remembered the last time she got tied up with water nymphs, they were not Limnades as they lived in the ocean, but she hated them, and for good reason, Nineteen Twelve, the year she lost Matthias. She shuddered at the memory.
She used to think of them as weak creatures until she saw what they could do. They can shape shift into any water creature. They have the power to drown you from the inside and they hold similar powers to witches. They can also entrance people to make them do their bidding if they wanted. So yes, she is cautious of them because even though she is immortal, she never wants to end up in there underwater lair.
She has seen a few before on her travels to America. They are extremely rare. She enjoyed the company of one particular Limnade that embodied the water of Lily Lake in Alaska, she was very pure. The Limnades in this lake have a dark side, not completely evil but almost there. They do, however, need to steal human lives to obtain there immortality and powers, their souls, they are more like Elizabeth than she cared to think.
Elizabeth has been human so she
