I just
want to have fun right now. Larkin and I had our one night. It was
fun but we’re over it."
    "Jenna, it's
not so much that I'm worried he will hurt you emotionally but that
his past will catch up to him and you will be caught in the middle.
I'm saying just keep Larkin at a distance and don't get close. And
trust me babe, it ain't over. You have him all torn up."
    "Jensen,
listen to me, Larkin is the kind of guy I don't need in my life,
and there is no worry of me getting close to him. I let myself get
close to a guy one time and I got screwed."
    Before Jinx
could say anything else, my door was opening and Larkin walked in.
Looking at Jinx and I Larkin asked, “What are you two
doing?”
    "Nothing,
Larkin. What do you want?" I was trying to show irritation, but my
voice cracking gave me away.
    Larkin looked
at Jinx for a moment then turned to me. "Jenna can we
talk?"
    "Sure what do
you want?" I shrugged trying piss him off, so he would
leave.
    Larkin looked
to Jinx then back to me and said. "Alone, Jenna."
    "What the
hell, Larkin? Just say what the hell is on your damn mind. I don't
feel like playing games."
    Larkin let out
a ragged breath. "Fine. Jenna, I want you, not just for some quick
fuck but I want to be able to take you out to dinner, call you just
to say hi. I shouldn't fucking want you, you’re too damn good but I
do. One taste of you wasn't enough, I need more."
    I looked over
at Jinx who shrugged. Looking back at Larkin I said, "Larkin get
fucking real. I don't do drama shit and that’s what you are. I
don't want a boyfriend, I want the quick fuck. We are completely
different."
    Jinx grabbed
my shoulder and squeezed it. "I think this is my que to leave.
Larkin I swear if you hurt this girl you better hope to God Gage
never finds you."
    Larkin
narrowed his eyes and glared at his cousin, "Fuck off Jensen. This
has nothing to do with him."
    Jinx just
shook his head and laughed, "That’s what you think. J isn't just
some girl from home Larkin, you can't treat her like the others.
She's special. You may be family but I wouldn't think twice about
knocking your ass out for hurting her."
    "Jensen you
don't know shit. I am in no mood to deal with you. Just walk away
and let me talk to her."
    I slapped my
hands down on my thighs and yelled "Are you fucking kidding me?
Jinx, thank you for looking out for me but I promise I will be ok.
Larkin maybe I have nothing to say to you."
    "Jenna, please
just hear me out,” Larkin pleaded.
    I shook my
head and said, "Larkin there is nothing to say. We had one amazing
night but that’s it. You want something I can't offer you and I
want nothing."
    Jinx started
backing out of my room but stopped just before the door. "Jenna, we
are all right out here if you need us." I didn't take my eyes off
Larkin I just nodded and waved my hand letting him know I would be
fine.
    After Jinx
shut the door Larkin took a few steps towards me. I countered,
taking a few steps back. Putting distance between us until my back
was against the wall, I saw the smirk form on his face and it was
my insta-piss button. "I swear you better wipe that damn smirk off
your face before I knock it off."
    "Baby, I would
love to see you try." Larkin's eyes twinkled. The asshole was
enjoying this!
    Larkin took a
few steps until he is directly in front of me and placed his arms
on either side of my face, caging me in. "You don't have any idea
how fuckin sexy you are when you’re pissed off and fighting with
yourself."
    I placed both
my hands on his hard chest and pushed, he didn't budge. "Larkin
please stop, I don't want to do this with you."
    "Really? Your
body is telling me differently."
    I felt a
shiver run down my body, and I tried to hide it. "Larkin you know
you affect me. I can't change that but that doesn't mean I have to
act on it. You're the kind of guy a girl like me hooks up with but
that’s it. I'm not the normal girl who wants to fall in love and
have kids. I have no desire for any of that."
