to join in on this?” Jagger asked the other member.
“My boy is ready to do whatever the club needs of him.”
Ben had been one of the more indecisive of the Grizzly offspring when it came to the club and business. While Brick’s son, Odin, wasn’t involved with the club at all, and instead was using his time and intelligence to become a doctor, Ben had been partying hard, and only halfway dedicated to what he wanted when it came to the club. But over the last year he’d really been shaping up and manning up when it came to Grizzly things.
Jagger nodded. “Good, I’m glad to hear he’s put his dick away for the time being and is interested in being part of the family.”
Although the Grizzly kids were family no matter if they were in the club or not, when one of them was a patched in member they were part of a brotherhood.
“I’d like Brick and Drevin to head out and make sure they don’t fuck this up.” Jagger scratched his jaw, and the sound of his fingers moving over his scruff was loud in the silent room. “I think the boys need to start learning how to negotiate deals when the rest of us aren’t there.”
There was a grunt of agreement again.
“You thinking of stepping down anytime soon?” Diesel asked, and a hushed moment filled the room as all the men looked at their President.
Jagger was silent for a moment, then exhaled loudly. “I’m not getting any younger, and neither are the rest of you. I can’t speak for you guys, but I want to be able to enjoy my family, watch my grandchildren grow, when they decide to have more that is.”
The room lightened, and everyone smiled. Drevin wanted that one day soon. He wanted a family with Allie, wanted to be able to watch his children, his grandchildren grow. It was a far off dream, because he’d not spoken about this to Allie, but he knew in his heart she’d want more with him, too. They were mated. Well, Drevin was working up to that fact. Until he claimed Allie it wasn’t set in stone, even though he felt it in every part of his body that she was his. She was human, wasn’t used to the ways of his club or the way a grizzly bear shifter took what was theirs. She’d find out soon enough though, because he’d be claiming her good and hard, and there would be no doubt in anyone’s mind that she was his.

Drevin left Allie at his place earlier in the day, not liking that he hadn’t been able to stay with her, but knowing he had club business to tend to. He’d never cared about leaving on a run, because he’d never had anyone with caring about. But with Allie he wanted to be with her all the time, wanted her with him, by his side, and not having to worry about if she was a priority in his life.
He’d asked her to stay at his place because he felt she’d be safer there. It would also offer him peace of mind. He rode on his Harley with the other men trailing behind, and Brick riding right beside him. The SUV was driven by Jakob, with Bodhi, Cain, and Ben in the vehicle as well, and Mason, Lucas, and Nico riding their Harleys behind Drevin.
They were about twenty minutes from the property they were negotiating to buy. Drevin and Brick were to stand back and let the younger guys handle it, and only be there for backup. Not that the younger males needed that because they were just as strong as the original members, but it was always good to have males with them that knew what the fuck was going on. If the next generation was going to run the show in the future, they needed to know how the Originals handled things, too.
They finally pulled up to the untouched land for sale. It was a nice chunk of change if they decided to buy it, but the guys would need to talk the human male down to a reasonable cost. They parked and dismounted, and were met by the older gentleman that owned the property. He wore a pair of faded blue jeans and a torn plaid shirt. The cowboy hat he wore looked like it had seen better days.
“Fuck, look at that piece of
