with a stunned expression on his face, wondering what the hell he'd said to piss Angel off this time.

Chapter 8

Nikki blew out a tired breath as she let herself back into her hotel room. So much for having time to myself , she thought.
The entire day had been one meeting after another. All she wanted to do was take a long, hot bath, crawl into bed, and get some rest before she caught her flight in the morning. Picking up the phone, Nikki quickly ordered room service. She was too tired to go down to the dining room, and had turned down the offer to meet the others from the conference for dinner.
Forcing her aching feet to trudge to the bathroom, Nikki turned the faucets on and poured bath oil under the running water. Kicking off her heels, Nikki stripped away her clothes then sank into the gloriously steaming, hot water and leaned back. After the day she’d had, this was nothing short of heaven.
She must have dozed off, because the next thing she knew, she was being awakened by a persistent knocking at the door. Nikki sat up, a little disoriented from the short nap.
“Must be room service.” She hurried and stepped out of the tub, grabbing the oversized bath towel to wrap around her body. The knocking sounded again. “Just a minute. I’m coming.”
Making sure the towel was secure she hurried out of the bathroom. “I’m so sorry. I was in the tub…" She started explaining as she opened the door, but the rest of the words disappeared into thin air. It wasn’t room service. It was nourishment, alright, but not the edible kind. Then again, that was a matter of opinion.
Angelo LaCroix stood in front of her wearing a pair of black jeans, black leather loafers, and a white button up shirt. He was leaning against the doorframe with his arms folded, looking as arrogant as ever and sexier than any man had a right to be.
Straightening to his full height, he walked inside the room without waiting on an invitation.   Nikki stumbled back when he shut the door. They never broke eye contact and neither made an effort to speak. Two steps brought him directly in front of her, and without uttering a word, Angel put his hands on each side of her face, hungrily fusing their lips in the long anticipated kiss.
Nikki moaned helplessly, not strong enough to fight him anymore. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back with the same need he displayed. She had been craving this man for weeks, and tonight she was going to satisfy her longing and face the consequences tomorrow.
Angel groaned as he walked her backwards until her body came in contact with the wall, his hand tearing the towel away from her body.
“Damn. You look even better than I imagined.” Before she could say anything, he brought his mouth back to hers as his large hands covered her breasts, tweaking her nipples and arousing her even further. Nikki tore her mouth away from his, gasping for breath, but Angel didn’t stop.
He kissed a trail to her neck. “Tell me you want this,” he whispered as he moved his head down to capture a pouty nipple that was begging for his tongue.
“Ohhhh…” Nikki screamed as he licked the nipple then opened his mouth, trying to swallow the succulent mound. She couldn't stifle the moans any longer and didn't even try. In these few minutes, he had given her more pleasure than she’d ever felt with any man in her life.
Angel lifted his head and blew softly on her wet nipple. “Tell me.”
Nikki reached down and brought his head to her other breast so that it could get the same treatment. Angel laughed softly. As he serviced her breast, his hand slowly inched down between her legs, which were moving restlessly from need. She held her breath as he hovered for a moment then slid his fingers between the lips protecting her sex.
