me,” says a voice behind the man with the stains. I look up to see a handsome man in a black designer suit and red, silk tie. His hair is perfectly trimmed, and his voice is smooth and sexy. “I’m sure this beautiful girl here doesn’t enjoy spending time with a man who can’t speak or dress himself.”
“ What did you say, buddy?” the stained man grunts.
“It means,” starts the man in the suit. “When you are addressing a lady, you act like a gentleman… especially when you look like you haven’t bathed in a week.”
“Fuck you, man !” he yells.
“No, sir,” the man in the suit replies. “There isn’t a chance in hell that you and I will ever be fucking.”
With that, the stained man steps out of the line and scurries toward the door. He looks back and flips off the man in the suit before running outside. The customers in the store begin to gasp and smile at one another.
“Thank you,” I say while looking wide-eyed at the handsome man in the suit. “I’ve never seen someone do something like that before.”
“It’s no problem at all,” says the man.
“I would get you a coffee on the house,” I say. “But my boss is kind of a hard ass.”
“Don’t worry about it,” he says. “I’ll have a twenty ounce coffee, black.”
“Coming right up,” I say, smiling.

The rest of my shift goes by quickly. As the customers start to die down, Lou approaches me.
“We’re slow right now,” he says. “Why don’t you go home for the day to save some hours?”
“Any chance I can stay?” I ask him. “I could really use some money right now.”
“Sorry, Sierra,” Lou says. “Ca n’t this week; I’m saving up to go on vacation. You can take your share of the tips and we’ll see you tomorrow.”
I look into the dismal tip jar. It is vis ible from the top that there is only about ten dollars inside. Sighing, I decide not to bother to take any and I go to the back, grab my purse, and head out the door. As I walk into the parking lot, a voice calls behind me.
“Hello there, ” I look back to see that it’s the man in the black suit smiling at me. He is sitting on a green chair on the patio in from of the coffee shop, reading the paper.
“Thank you, again,” I say as I approach the man.
“I’m just trying to keep this town how it’s supposed to be,” smiles the man as he stands up. He steps forward, and we are extremely close. Usually, I would step back, but I like being this close to a man this good looking.
“And how is this town supposed to be?” I ask, coyly.
“Well,” starts the man. “It’s quaint and friendly… but there’s also a hidden side.”
“Hidden? Like in a cave somewhere?” I joke.
“Ye ah, I guess you could say that,” he says, laughing a little. “Finding the secret, dark things can be the most fun. So, where are you headed?”
    “Home, I guess. ”
“No crazy parties downtown for the night?”
“I wish,” I say laughing. “My boss just let me go for t he day early, so I don’t have any money to do anything else.”
“ I’m Clayton Hawthorne,” he says, extending out his hand. “And you are?”
“Hi, Clayton,” I say as I receive his hand to shake it. His palm is large and smooth. It feels very masculine but also like no other man’s touch I had felt before. “I’m Sierra Clarke.”
“P retty name for a pretty face,” he says, smiling as we let go from our handshake. “So, Sierra, pardon me for being direct, but are you single?”
“ Yep, I’m single girl,” I say, blushing. “You?”
“ Same; they call me eternal bachelor,” he smiles.
“Do you like it that way?” I ask.
    “I guess I must.”
“I see. So what do you do? Throw wild parties downtown?”
“ Sort of,” Clayton laughs. “But I’m afraid that my real job is much less fun.”
“ Sort of?” I ask. “How do you sort of throw a wild party?”
“Let’s just say that you have to be very open minded in order to attend
