and the sheets felt like silk against
flesh that felt terribly over-sensitive.
Rising up on her elbows she took in the size of the space.
    Huge.
The walls of the room were decorated in silk in neutral
shades of grey from pale silver to pewter accented by a punch of blood red in
the modern painting that took up an entire wall. Two seven foot sofas, covered
in velvet the color of deep claret, sat at right angles with a heavy glass
coffee table set between them. Sheer curtains covered high-arched, floor to
ceiling windows.
Double doors were opened into what she realized was a vast
closet.
Her ears strained to listen for a voice, a sound, that might
tell her she was not alone.
Another door had been left ajar to what she could see was an
incredible bathroom of creamy marble.
She lay down on her back and simply stared at the ceiling
trying to remember what the hell had happened to her.
Her eyes went wide as she gingerly ran her hands over her
hips, felt the deep throb, the telling ache and honeyed evidence between her
legs.
Reality dumped her firmly in the present.
She hadn’t been dreaming about making love with a man?
    But who?
Her instincts told her, she knew exactly who’d made wildly
passionate love to her last night.
    Daniel?
    Seriously?
    Good God.

Gia clutched the sheet to her breasts and sat as the bedroom
door opened.
And she came face to face with Daniel Stewart Gillespie.
Her heart did the jerky skip it always did when she was near
him, only this time it stumbled before racing like a rabbit under the first
blast of the gun.
Folding muscular arms he leaned against the doorframe
wearing nothing but ancient jeans of soft blue denim, the fly unbuttoned.
The slow intimate smile instantly transformed his face from
tough into a friendly approachable man with an aura of charismatic charm.
Her heart torpedoed into her throat as the room spun with a
long slow tilt.
    She couldn’t breathe.
    She couldn’t think.
Even though she’d worked for him for two years, Gia had
never seen him look anything but immaculate in one of his dark bespoke suits, a
modern interpretation on warrior armour. Now he looked even more male and his
face even more attractive in the grey light of day.
This man with his sleep tousled black hair, the strong jaw
that needed a shave and drowsy eyes that were becoming more alert by the
second, was a complete stranger to her.
All the Gillespie men were tall, well over six foot, wide of
shoulder with strong muscular chests and long legs.
    Daniel was... big.
He was about two hundred and twenty pounds, not over-developed,
but muscled and lean. Eyes the color of a cobalt sky held hers as he strolled
towards her. As always the way he moved was a simple pleasure to watch. But
then all the Gillespie brothers were a pleasure to watch. She loved the way he
walked. Stealthy like a big black cat in a smooth, sensual rhythm.
    All man.
Her eyes roamed over that tight muscular torso, the pecs,
past strong shoulders. And up to find herself staring at his gorgeous face. With
something like shock, Gia realized it was the first time she’d seen him without
his glasses. The eyes were so blue they appeared almost unnatural, almost...
alien.
Those amazing eyes burned a hot path over her breasts in a
way that absolutely terrified her. The scent of shampoo, his signature amber
and cedar wood cologne and a healthy male had something else other than sheer
panic now flutter low in her belly.
    Oh God.

"Ah, you’re awake, good," he said in a friendly
and intimate tone that had her blink up into his face. "Coffee?"
That deep voice, the Scottish accent, slipped so seductively
through her system it made her blink again.
He sent her another rare spontaneous grin that had her eyes desperately
searching his face.
She’d been asleep on his couch and now she was in his bed.
And he wasn’t angry, or even a little bit annoyed, with
her?
Confused, Gia simply stared at him.
    Dear heaven, he looked amazing.
