After logging in, she began her search. âOkay,â Sarah said, shifting in her seat. âHereâs some info on the town of Alden. And they mention the Robinson family, but I donât see any pictures of them.â âHmmmâ¦â Jackie chewed on her lip. âMaybe we could just look up the Robinson name?â âBut we donât know his first name.â Sarah furrowed her brow. âI wonder if we did a search for Robinsons in Alden, Michigan⦠I wonder what weâd find with that.â âI donât know. Give it a try.â Jackie shrugged. Sarah typed and then waited for the computer to find the information. She leaned forward and peered at the screen. âOkay⦠hereâs something.â She bit her lip and clicked on the mouse. âHoly cow,â Jackie said. âHe doesnât look anything like the guy that followed us today.â She furrowed her brow and looked at Sarah. âYouâre right.â She shook her head and stared at the screen. âHeâs totally bald and has blue eyes.â âAre you sure that heâs the Robinson guy weâre looking for? Lacey asked. Sarah sighed and brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes. âIt says right here, heâs the descendant of the great Samuel Robinson who started the logging business in Alden.â âWhatâs his name?â Lacey asked, twirling her long blonde hair around her finger. âHis name is Warren, and his sonâs name is Michael.â âSo, who is the guy that chased us today?â Jackie asked. âI donât know.â Sarah shook her head. âBut thereâs only one way to find out. We have to go back to Alden.â âWe were planning on going back after school tomorrow. Weâve already set it up with Alex,â Lacey pointed out. âI donât know about you guys, but I canât wait until after school.â âWhat are you saying?â Jackie asked. âIâm saying we skip school tomorrow and head back up to Alden in the morning.â âWhat? Are you crazy?â Lacey protested. âNo, Iâm not.â Sarah shook her head firmly. âYeah⦠you are,â Lacey argued. Sarah rolled her eyes. âI canât sit in school all day when weâre this close to finding Mom and Dad.â She held up her thumb and index finger in a measuring motion. Her fingers were a centimeter apart. âIf you donât want to come, you donât have to.â âIâm in,â Jackie said as she put her arm around Sarah. âWeâll get grounded,â Lacey warned. âSo what?â Sarah challenged. âWeâve been grounded before.â Lacey sighed and pouted. âYou donât even know if Alex will drive us.â âWe can always ask him.â Sarah clenched her teeth. âSo what are we going to do?â Jackie asked, furrowing her brow. âWeâre not going to go up there and just wait for him to come out of the house are we?â âNo. Thatâd be a waste of time.â Sarah chewed her lip and furrowed her brow. âHow are we going to get him to come out of the house?â âIâve got it!â Jackieâs face lit up like a light bulb. âWe can pretend weâre selling something.â âThatâs a good idea, Jack, but what if that freak answers the door?â Sarah frowned. âI mean we donât know if he lives there or not. And heâs seen us.â âTrue.â Jackie stood and paced, fiddling with her curls as she walked. âWe definitely donât want him chasing us. I say we donât go back,â Lacey said as she glared at her sister with angry eyes. Sarah rolled her eyes and stood. âWe have to go back. This is the closest weâve ever come to finding our parents.â She bent over the desk and turned off the computer. Jackie let out an exasperated
