percent. That meant that Cherri was going to make her drink the green shit she created for healing.
With loud pops and shimmering, the cougar and wolf turned back into Kade and Kiki. "Woo Hoo, that was fuckin' awesome!" Kiki screamed. All the Enforcers stopped to watch the handsome and completely strange man dance in a circle.
Kade shook his head and then glared at her. "What the fuck was that?" he growled, and she raised her eyebrow at him.
Her Enforcers knew her, and they hustled the two Ulfer out of the entry. Kade ordered three of them to stand guard outside the door until they could secure the bar and get Kiki out of there. But first he had a little business to take care off.
Without taking his eyes off Calli, he said, "Kiki, is the dressing room empty?"
"Sure, sugar, I will wait in the fat man's office. No one can get in there because of his own stupid, personal security, like anyone would want his sorry ass." Kiki muttered and went back into the bar.
Kade grabbed her good arm and dragged her behind him. Calli finally shook out of her stupor and pulled back, but Kade glared at her over his shoulder. She shrugged and allowed herself to be led but still leaning back, giving resistance. She was not going to cause a scene or anything, but she was not a weak woman who could be manned handled like this.
When they finally reached the dressing room Kiki had come out of, Kade threw open the door, shoved her inside and slammed the door. "Shift," he demanded.
Once again, she raised her eyebrow but did what he said because she wanted to be at least half strength to kick his ass for being a domineering asshole. Since she knew she was in a safe place, she closed her eyes and allowed her wolf to come forward. She had been howling inside of her to get out.

Chapter 7

Kade had smelled his mate's blood a second before he shifted. When she had pushed him and Kiki back into the bar, he had been stunned at first. Then he yelled for the people in the bar to go out of the emergency exits. Who knew how many of the Ulfer were actually waiting for them outside the entrance? Kade only saw four, which didn't mean that was all there was. And his hard headed mate put herself right in their path. While he watched as the people from the bar actually listened to him and began to run to the back of the bar, he turned to tell Kiki to go and hide in the dressing room, but the man had already shifted and was bouncing on his paws. Kade rolled his eyes and said, "Kiki, you need to stay back."
The cougar looked at him and bared its teeth, letting him know he was not going to obey. Fuck, this was gonna suck if he got a witness killed on his first day, but he had to protect his mate.
"Fine, just stay behind me," he growled and then shifted.
What the hell was she thinking? He was her back up, which meant he was supposed to be in there with her. His wolf jumped on the door to get to his mate. As he barreled through, he took in the situation. One Ulfer dead on the ground, looking at the wall with a small bullet hole through his head. Kiki screeched her cat call and jumped on the tiger that had been shot in the ass. And a mangy looking wolf was biting his mate's arm.
'Kill,' his wolf thought as he lunged for the wolf's neck. It didn't take that long for him to gain control over the Ulfer; he was weak and unconditioned. Who the hell ever thought he could be a thug? Kade had fought stronger and more organized Ulfer overseas. It made him wonder what was going on, was this one of the newly changed shifters?
He could hear the shuffling around him and smelled the zap of the stun pole as the Enforcers subdued the wolf. He should have just bitten a little harder and broken the asshole's neck.
He shifted back and looked around. His mate leaned against the wall, holding her arm. She was wounded because he hadn't been there. Damn he was pissed. Barking out the orders, he pulled her behind him to the dressing room Kiki had
