    “Sera… I know this is probably crazy for me to say, but…” he sighed. He looked into those aquamarine eyes and his heart swelled in his chest. There was no use denying it.
    “I love you. I knew from the moment I met you that you were something special. You’re so strong and selfless. You’re beautiful and charming… I understand if you’re still angry with me, but please, at least give me the chance to redeem myself.”
    She gave him a sleepy smile as the toll of her injuries started to pull her back into dreamland.
    “I love you, too. Give me a kiss.”
    His smile spread ear to ear. Hearing those words from the woman of his dreams was all he could ever hope for. He leaned over her and placed a gentle kiss on her parted lips.
    “As many as you want,” he whispered over her soft snores.
