get tied down hook, line, and sinker.
Taking her small hands into mine, I looked her in her beautiful, hazel eyes.
"Charlotte, we haven't always had it easy. There was a point in time that I never imagined we'd be sitting back here again. There were times I thought you were gone forever, but all of that is what brought us to where we are right now." I pulled the ring from my pocket. "I knew the moment I met you, I could never lose you. It's been the hardest fall, but you make it so worth it. Will you marry me?"
She started sobbing so hard and nodding yes that she had to lean over the side and toss her cookies. I felt bad and thought that maybe I should have postponed, but I didn't want to wait another day waiting. If she wasn't better in a few days, a trip to the doctor was going to happen.
"Yes. Yes, Jack, I will marry you."
I didn't care that she just threw up, I kissed her lips. "I love you, Char."
    "I love you too, Jack."
There's a long path that leads your straight to your destiny. People are placed in your life at different times for different reasons. Some are blessings, others are lessons. Sometimes, it's all about the trust in the fall.

    Epilogue

"Harlee, leave him alone," Charlotte yelled with Fireball asleep at her feet. Harlee was currently pulling on our Husky Tiny's tail. He didn't mind. She wasn't doing it to hurt him, she was just trying to get his attention. She was almost three. She looked like a miniature version of Charlotte. She was sassy and a ray of sunshine in both of our lives. The outdoor speakers played Soulshine and all felt right with the world.
I took it all in laughing, as I tossed our youngest Luc in the air. There was nothing better than his toothy grin. Charlotte sat next to me on the swing, her stomach swollen. She was pregnant with our second son. She had given me a life I couldn't have even dreamed of. She left the design firm she was working for and we branched out my business. We began offering design services for the homes we built. I built her the house of her dreams on twenty acres of land as a wedding gift, where we plan on living out our happily ever after.
I loved her more now than I thought was ever imaginable. I'm so glad I fell.
