worked on opening his pants. A second later, his erection
was rubbing against the entrance to my body and I lowered myself letting him
fill me with his hard flesh.
He tore his lips from my
breast and the look in his eyes sent a shiver up my spine. Gripping my hips he
said, “Fuck me Renee, ride me like your life depends on it.”
I did as he asked, moving my
hips up and down with my hands braced on the back of the couch. His eyes grew
darker then started glowing with red flames as his body began to stiffen with
his impending climax.
I was far from unaffected by
what we were doing but doubts kept creeping into my brain and I suspected the
fox was behind them. Why was I doing this? To get back at Solomon? Just to get
myself off? I could have just bitten him if that was all I wanted.
    Dimitri moaned, throwing his
head back and I knew he wasn’t going to last much longer. Before I could be
left wanting again I leaned down and sank my fangs into his throat. His blood
hit my tongue and I sucked long and hard as waves of ecstasy crashed over us.
His grip tightened and his hips rose meeting mine as our bodies slammed
together over and over.
    Suddenly it wasn’t Dimitri
beneath me, it was Solomon and everything changed because with the physical
sensations ravaging my body I felt connected to him. It was the same sense of
belonging I always felt when I was near Solomon but stronger somehow.
Before I could make sense of
what was happening Dimitri shoved me off his lap, his face a livid mask when he
roared, “What the fuck Renee?”
    Dammit. I must have projected
my feelings for Solomon along with the sexual high from drinking Dimitri’s
blood.  I started to explain, not that anything I could say would make this any
better, but a tingle of awareness had me looking out over the club where I met
Solomon’s furious gaze. He was also on the third floor, standing by the railing
directly across from us. He looked good in his Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt and
black jeans with his artfully tussled hair falling over his brow, damn good
actually. He must have found someone to feed from because the dark circles
under his eyes were gone and he no longer looked like he was trying out for a
part on The Walking Dead.
    When he started heading in
our direction I said, “Shit, I have to go,” then jumped to my feet and bolted.
If I was lucky I could get back to my place, pack a bag, and be gone by the
time Solomon caught up with me.

    Finding Renee was proving to
be a lot more difficult than I anticipated. I’d forgotten how big Supernova was
and just how many people the annual tournament drew in. To complicate matters
I’d been fending off some very persistent women since I walked through the
door. Now I was on the third floor looking over the railing, searching for
Renee in the heaving crowd of people below.
    The blaring music barely
covered the ecstatic moans and groans rising with increasing frequency as more
and more partygoers shed their clothing and gave in to their basest urges. The
scent of salt and musk, sweat and sex filled my senses making my pulse pound as
my eyes flew from one face to the next, desperately seeking green eyes and
creamy white skin with pale freckles scattered over a tiny nose. There were
just too many people and I wasn’t even sure she was here.
    Deciding the fox might have
better luck; I reached out with all his senses and let him zero in on our mate
as only he could. I might have strong feelings for Renee, but only through the
magic of the fox could she be my mate. Taking deep breaths, I closed my eyes
and focused. When I was sure the fox knew where she was, I opened my eyes and
found that I’d moved about ten yards to the right and had the undeniable urge
to look across to the other side of the club.
    Renee was there with her
hands braced on the back of a couch and her fangs buried in someone’s neck.
That I could have lived with, but the way her lower body was moving told me
there was a lot more
