up their seats at the bar to the group. After they were seated, Les ordered rounds of shots, which they downed quickly.
âThis is awesome. I just want to yell something out.â Kirk put his arm around Nia.
âDo it. Trust me, itâs okay.â Nia nodded her head.
âOkay.â Kirk stood up on the footrest below his seat. âDragon Con is awesome!â
Like normal, the crowd cheered and glasses rose in unison. Les stood up, and he and Kirk pounded fists as camera flashes went off. Les sat back down and put his hand on Creeâs thigh.
âIâm going to regret this in the morning, when the pictures hit the blogs. What are you two trying to do to us?â he said.
âNothing you donât want me to.â Cree put her hand over her mouth, realizing what she had said. Les gave a devilish chuckle. Cree looked at Nia, who, judging by the expression on her face, obviously didnât approve of the comment.
Les laughed. âYou are amazing, Ms. Cree. Simply amazing.â He called the bartender over to order more drinks.

I was still in shock. I must have dreamed that Ursula Moore said she wanted to kiss me. I wanted to slap myself just to wake up, because the dream was getting out of hand now. I closed my eyes and then opened them, hoping I would wake up. There sat Ursula, staring at me.
âI am guessing you werenât expecting to hear that,â she said.
âUm . . .â I had to take a big gulp of wine. âNo, definitely not. I mean, you are Ursula Moore.â
âIâm also a woman who is very attracted to another woman.â Ursula stood up from the table. She walked over to a smaller table that had a bowl of fruit and two other bottles of wine chilling in silver buckets. She picked up one of the bottles and popped it open. âWhat can I say, Temple? I was attracted to you the moment I saw you at the panel.â
âWhy?â I knew it wasnât proper etiquette, but I put my elbows on the table and placed my hands on my head. âI just donât understand.â
âHow can you not understand that you are an incredibly sexy woman?â Ursula walked back over to the table. Instead of sitting in her chair, she sat in the chair next to mine. She picked up my wineglass and refilled it.
âBut Iâm a nobody. You can have any woman you want.â
Ursula nodded her head. âIf that is true, you wonât mind me doing this.â
Before I could move, Ursulaâs hand was on the back of my head, pulling me in close to her. Her lips pressed against mine. Her perfume entered my nostrils; I was instantly high off of her. My lesbian instincts were starting to kick in as I parted my lips, allowing Ursulaâs tongue to enter my domain.
It was happening, after all. There was no way I was dreaming this. I put my hand on her thigh and rubbed it slowly. She was real, in the flesh. The woman whom Iâd idolized was giving me the most passionate kiss I had ever had. I didnât know if it was the person I was kissing or the kiss itself that was causing my body to go into overdrive. The confidence Iâd been lacking resurfaced as the lesbian aggressive side in me started banging, trying to come out and take over the situation. My aggressive side was fighting a full fight with the fangirl in me, who knew this was crossing a line I couldnât come back from.
âI knew that was going to be amazing,â Ursula said in the brief moment she pulled away. She pecked my lips again. âI want more.â
The fangirl in me put my hands on her shoulders, blocking her from reaching me.
âAre you sure about this?â I asked.
I wanted to slap myself for even giving her the option to say no. The heat was a full fire, and I knew only one thing would extinguish it. However, I had questions. For one, Ursula had said on tons of occasions that she was not gay, and I could have sworn she had said at one of the panels
