eyes. Vivid white lines crossed her lids. Her muscles tensed and continued to tighten. He ground his pelvis against hers in another drive and the white lines became starbursts. Her body quaked as she lost control of her limbs, and her orgasm bowled through her. Another thrust and he bellowed into the crook of her neck before going still.

Chapter Seven

Boris rolled over and reached for Nix. The cold spot where she should have been made him crack one bleary eye. With a sigh he flipped on his back and covered his eyes with his forearm. They’d literally just gone to bed; she should be worn out. Instead she’d went missing. When would she learn not to run when things got complicated? He wiped a palm across the empty space. She wouldn’t go far. There was no way she’d leave Fre.
He sighed. After the night they had and he’d made it a point to try almost every sexual position that allowed her to control most of the nuances of what they did. Hell, they topped off their night of loving in the shower. His cock hardened as he remembered the way she’d looked at him when he’d entered her body the first time. It had taken all the control he’d mastered not to leave his mark on her and he wasn’t sure if he had the restraint to do that again. He ran a hand along his erection, skating his thumb over the head of his cock. Images of Nix in the throes of an orgasm flitted through his mind, the way her multicolored curls clung to her face and neck. He glided a hand up and down his shaft.
Late in the night when he was sure everyone had gone to bed, he’d scooped Nix up and moved them to his bedroom. Having woken her when he collapsed next to her she crawled up and sat astride his body mimicking his words as she reached for his shaft. “You didn’t think we were done did you?”
A groan escaped past his lips. She’d ridden him into sunrise before he rolled her over and pounded into her body until he once again felt her legs shake. He tightened his grip on his rod and increased his pace. His body tensed as tendrils of energy traveled along his limbs. A banging at the door broke through his fuzzy thoughts. He ignored it and stoked his shaft. The tightness in his stomach grew. The pounding on his door amplified. He tried to focus on his memories of Nix. The click of his lock made him move with a quickness very few expected.
Boris swung the door open. Claws erupted from his fingertips as hair started to cover his arm. His fingers closed around the intruder’s neck and he lifted the person off their feet. He felt nails cut across his arm.
“Boris, get a fucking grip!” Myka yelled.
Laughter filled the hall beyond them. “See, Myka, this is why Mama told you never to wake a sleeping bear.” Rhys fell against the wall and doubled over with laughter.
Boris released his brother and grunted. “This is a bad time.” He turned around and moved deeper into his room. “What the hell do you two want?”
His brothers followed him. “I want to know why your grumpy ass didn’t claim her. I have no clue why Rhys is here.” Myka rubbed his throat.
“I came along to save your ass.” The smile on Rhys’s face disappeared. He turned toward Boris. “Seriously, why didn’t you mate Nix?”
“She’s not ready and I will not rush her to satisfy some bet.” Boris walked to his closet and pulled out a robe. “Where is she anyway?”
“She and Fre went to visit Keen’s school and have lunch with him. The better question would be why you don’t know where she is?” Rhys asked.
“Nix has a tendency to run when she’s faced with certain issues. I know she’s around and I don’t want to crowd her. It might scare her more. I’ll give her time to think, and then I’ll go in search of her.”
“If it was me I would have said ‘Look, woman you’re mine. That’s that, get over it so bring your sexy ass here and service me.’” Myka nodded his head as he looked at his brothers.
“Yeah, you think my Nix is sexy? I
