“It was all I could think of to show you how much you mean to my future.”
She sighed and pressed her cheek to his shoulder, settling into place and relaxing.
In a few days, they would have to find out whether the Jhenno wanted to go the easy way or the hard way, but for now, they had this moment together. Kee embraced this instant and filed the sensation of being cared for and protected in her mind.

Five years later, the Jhenno Archive was one of the most desired locations for the true intellectual to visit. Kyna Utal was the key to accessing it and the researchers visiting the site gave her her due.
Ten thousand Jhenno had remained on the world and the rest had been found homes elsewhere. The government was stable and Jherin was involved in acquiring more books for the Jhenno Archive’s collection.
Kee swept into the library at the sandcastle and held up the volume. “What is this?”
Jherin looked up at his charming mate with a grin. “The detailed account of how we came together for the first year. Why?”
She bristled with irritation, sparks nearly flying from her mind. “Why was it in the archive under sex manuals?”
He walked up to her and put his hands on her waist. “You are very inventive, love.”
She wrinkled her nose at him. “You are just flattering me to get something.”
He chuckled. “Nope. I was wondering if you could manage a repeat of chapter five, page one hundred and thirty-six.”
She gave him a narrow-eyed look, flipping through the book. She blushed a little as she read carefully, and then, she slammed the book shut. His charming mate nodded her head brusquely. “Fine. Bring the candles, I will get the honey.”
In her mind, she laughed outright while her face kept the businesslike exterior. Jherin admired her ability to feel one thing and show another, provided that he could do the same.

When she grabbed the honey jar and put the book in the library, she headed off to bed with a grin. The nanites were going to have to scrub for hours when she was done with Jherin, but they didn’t mind a bit.
Author’s Note
Keen was all about intellect going out the window when she found a man she wanted. However, she was lucky in that he wanted her for her mind as much as her body.
We met characters from Pan’s Legacy and Arena Station, and it was nice to work them into a book after so long.
Keeper will be the tale of a bodyguard who goes above and beyond when she is asked to sacrifice years of her life to keep her charge safe.
Thanks for reading,

**PS. I now have a line of trading cards available with the book covers on them from my website. I am working toward getting all the cover art in a portable format but it will take time.
About the Author
Viola Grace was born in Manitoba, Canada where she still resides today. She really likes it there. She has no pets and can barely keep sea monkeys alive for a reasonable amount of time. Her line of day job tends to be analytical which leaves her mind hopping to weave stories. No co-worker is safe from her character analysis. In keeping with busy hands are happy hands, her hobbies have included cross-stitch, needlepoint, quilting, costuming, cake decorating, baking, cooking, metal work, beading, sculpting, painting, doll making, henna tattoos, chain mail, and a few others that have been forgotten. It is quite often that these hobbies make their way into her tales.
Viola’s fetishes include boots and corsetry, and her greatest weakness is her uncontrollable blush. Her writing actively pursues the Happily Ever After that so rarely occurs in nature. It is an admirable thing and something that we should all strive for. To find one that we truly like, as well as love.
