He hadn’t played at Le Club Beaudelaire for quite some time, and the club he belonged to in the city, Le Club Eastside—Manhattan, located in an industrial warehouse district on the Lower East Side, did not have the same flavor. Although both were very intense, Le Club Eastside was darker, and the other members were more seriously into the lifestyle and were not as prone to playful scenes.
He took her into his arms and kissed her lightly. “Relax. We can talk about this before we start, okay? This is called a ‘role-playing scene’ where we pretend to be whatever characters we want. I thought you might enjoy a medieval capture and abduction scene like something you might have read in one of those bodice-ripper romance novels most of you women seem to devour.”
She continued to examine the room. “Oh, Drew. This is outrageous. I have to say you’ve surprised me again.”
“To keep it simple for your first time, during the scene you will address me as ‘my lord’ or ‘Sir Andrew.’ I’ll call you ‘Lady Ivorie.’ I’ve captured you and am holding you for ransom in my castle on an island in the North Sea. It’s very cold, desolate, and totally isolated. You are at my mercy. We’ll just let the story develop as it happens. Okay?”
    “Okay, that seems simple enough.”
“The official safe word on the boat is Kingfish. If you want another word, just make one up and tell me. It should be something that would not be said in normal conversation so it won’t be overlooked. No and stop are meaningless and will be taken as part of the scene.”
“Okay. Safe word, Kingfish. What else do I need to know?”
“Just that I’m your lord and master, and you will do whatever I tell you to do without reservation, unless you choose to use your safe word.” He deepened the tone of his voice. He could tell by the stunned look on her face that she hadn’t been expecting that.
All of a sudden she grinned at him, apparently having overcome her shock and awe for the moment, and said, “Oh, you mean just like at the office?”
He was stunned for a moment. “That’s it—no more Mr. Nice Guy!” He swung her around, smacked her butt, laughed, and said, “Get into costume. You can use the bathroom over there. When you come out, the scene has started. ” He was secretly delighted. It was obvious to him that she was no longer frightened or intimidated. He changed into the vest, which he wore over his naked chest, and tucked a riding crop into the leg of his boot. He thought it might be too soon to introduce a crop. He would wait and see. He didn’t want to scare her. A good first experience was crucial.

Ivorie picked up the gown and accessories and went into the bathroom. She put on an underdress of fine cotton covered in delicate embroidery and lace, the blue gown, and matching lambskin ballet style slippers and twirled around in front of the mirror. She liked what she saw and thought Drew would like it, too, and without hesitation opened the bathroom door.
In the spirit of the occasion, she had pulled her hair up into a loose knot on top of her head. She thought that suited the flavor of the scene. She was amazed at the intricate construction of the garments. They were all put together with Velcro fastenings and apparently designed to fit persons of different sizes. She grinned when she saw Drew’s eyes light up.
“Get over here, wench. You are my captive now, and I intend to spend the afternoon enjoying your naked body in every way I can think of.”
She had given this a moment’s thought while she was dressing. “Oh, my lord, please have mercy. I am on my way to the Convent of the Little Sisters of the Golden Dolphin to await my marriage to the king’s cousin. We have been betrothed since we were children. Please don’t ravish me.” Sounds a little cheesy to me, but not too bad for something on the fly. Next time I’ll do better. Was she actually contemplating a next time?
