fit that took me after reading the big bold sharpie written message on the box.

“Seriously Brooklyn, you put fragile on your shoes? I believe that is only for things made of glass?”

“I know how these movers can be! I’ve watched enough movies in my lifetime to know how careless they are with other peoples belongings. So, I left a nice warning on pretty much every box we have.”

“You.Are.Crazy. Well your shoes arrived in one piece, so are you finally ready to go. I’m starving!”

“Yep, all set!” She grabs her purse off the table as we head out the door. “Are we taking my jeep, or your car?”

“Definitely my car! I have been dying to drive her again!”

We descended the stairs towards my car when a delivery van pulled up at the end of my driveway. It reads Trudy’s Flowers and Candy’s on the side. A man jumped out of the van, and walked around to the back of the delivery van.

“Looks like Knox sent you some more flowers! Girl you landed the freakin’ jackpot with that one.”

“I bet the florist loves it, especially with this economy.” I say letting out a small laugh.

The guy approached us with a big smile stretched across his face. “Afternoon ladies,” He said handing me a bouquet of pink roses and a tiny white box. It had their shops logo printed on it in gold with a red bow tied on top.

“Hello.” Brooklyn and I say simultaneously. Signing for the delivery, I thank the delivery guy, giving him a generous tip. I ran back up to the house putting my flowers in water. While Brooklyn sat in the car blaring Taylor Swift’s Red. I opened the box to find a variety of chocolate covered strawberries. I set them in the fridge to keep them fresh, and retrieved the card tucked in the flowers.
    To My Sweet Savannah,

It’s hard to believe that just one week ago, the most amazing woman on the planet gave me the best night of my life. You Savannah have brought me so much happiness in such a short amount of time. I hope you have a wonderful day. I cannot wait to see you tonight.

    ~Kayden

I set the card on the kitchen counter beside the vase of roses. Pulling out my cell phone I snap a picture of myself beside the pink roses. Typing in a quick thank you I send the picture to Kayden. Hoping it will put a smile on his face to match the one on mine right now.

Brooklyn and I decided to have lunch at the Tiki Bar which is located at The Spot in Galveston. It overlooks the ocean and it has a fun tropical look and feel to the place; with a grass hut style roof and a tiki hut style bar inside. We took seating outside on the deck to eat since the sun is warm, and there is a gentle breeze blowing.

We spent the next two hours drinking pina colada’s from cut coconuts with little umbrellas in them. It feels great to just sit and relax with Brooklyn and chat about nothing and everything. Things have been so hectic lately we rarely have any free time to spend together just her and I.

After lunch we headed out to look at a few different kickboxing classes. I found one that isn’t too far from our beach house. They have classes three times a week. The staff is really nice, and everything in the gym is top of the line. I signed up and was excited to learn I get a personal trainer for my first three sessions for free. I cannot wait to get back in the gym, and kick the shit out of something picturing its Logan’s face.

It was almost five by the time we pull into the driveway. Jacob and Zak are on the beach playing volleyball. It reminded me that I still have to ask Kayden if he is up for a bar crawl tonight down at the Sea Wall . There are a bunch of bars along the water and Pleasure Pier. Brooklyn and I spent almost every night down at the pier when we were in Galveston a few summers back.

I figure we can have dinner at the pier, go on some of the rides, and then hit the bars. So we can let loose and have fun before Brooklyn has to fly back to Vancouver. Plus
