making Michael nearly crumple the note in his fist. It had worked!
"Where is this place?" The girl asked uncertainly.
"Somewhere safe. Trust me Rhamah, all will be well." Orlando caressed her cheek. "Michael will understand our plight and stop at nothing to help us. Even now he searches for her; the one made for him the way you were made for me." Orlando held the girl tightly against his chest, easing her.
"What about the others?" The image started to fade forcing him to grip the paper harder until it faded to nothing. The scene was lost. Who were the others the girl spoke of? Orlando was an immortal and needed to bring his mate somewhere safe. Diviana. Michael knew that if Orlando was this desperate to protect her, she must be human. The others she spoke of appeared to be pursuing them. But why ? Diviana, a realm for immortals was a perfect, safe place for their kind. But in order to get there, you needed an elder to grant you passage and take you there.
Flipping his phone open once more, he dialed Danielle and sank down on the queen-sized bed waiting for her to pick up. If Orlando and Cassie needed to get to Diviana, Michael would gladly take them there in exchange for Ana; with no need for threats or ransom.
    "Hello?" Danielle's voice calmed him.
"Danielle, it's Michael; I need your help." With Danielle able to move about in daylight, he could get a message to Orlando and be in Ana's arms by dusk.
"Sure I'll help you, kinda like you helped me last night? God, what really gets me is you made me trust you!" Michael listened with confusion. "And the whole time you were in on it with Orlando. What scheme do you guys have going? They hire someone and you swoop in taking all the credit?"
"I'm not in on anything with Orlando; I need to find him Danielle."
"Good to know, Mikey . Sorry, but I'm already on a plane with your friend in cuffs. And we're about to take off." The engines began to whine over her voice.
    "Where are you going?"
"Nu uh, nope this is my hit and I'm getting paid. Good luck." The line went dead. He could trace to the plane but chance accidentally being seen or worse, burned to a crisp. The sudden sliding sense of losing his grip on Ana made him growl in frustration.

Danielle squeezed the phone until her knuckles whitened, angered by Michael, but angrier at herself for trusting a stranger. A pair of beautiful eyes and pouty lips had her practically handing over her pay. She could kick herself for her stupidity. But she couldn't shake the familiarity and comfort she felt with him. And of course, her strange dreams with him as the star. She hadn't slept since her last dream and felt the exhaustion setting in; sleep would have to wait until she knew Orlando was secure and the girl was back to her family.
"So you're going by, Rhamah?" Leaning forward to see around Orlando's giant form, she hadn't thought to ask before.
"No, that's just what Orlando calls me." She squeezed his bound hands. "It means my sweetness. Everyone else calls me Cassie." She smiled up at him.
A whisper of longing pinched her heart but she wiped the feeling away. Alone was better, as she just proved to herself. By trusting a man she almost let the criminal go and all her cash; though it was a nice pause from her regular life, sitting in that restaurant, pretending to be normal.
"Are you and Michael together?" Cassie asked, but looked away when Orlando gave her hand a squeeze.
"No. Obviously." Even now, they kept up their ruse. What the hell did they have to gain from pretending to not be attached to Michael?
After the plane rumbled into the air and leveled out, Danielle relaxed a degree, confident Orlando wouldn't jump ship with his little girlfriend. Of course the young girl was infatuated with him, and ran half way around the world for him. He was just like Michael, tall, beautiful, mysterious. Her eyes drifted shut but moments later she felt a poke in her side.
"Danielle." Cassie was leaning around a sleeping
