cara. I don’t want Jose Enrique to see me like this,” said Jessy, all excited and smiling. I need to go to Jose Enrique. He needs to know that everything is okay. I think I scared him , thought Jessy as she applies some lipstick.
“Okay, I’m ready. Let’s go back to the hombres,” said Jessy, adjusting her hair y dress. “Do I look okay?”
“Si, you look really bella y sexy. No wonder mi poor hermano is all in love,” said Paty with a smile.
Jessy turns to look at Paty, trying to see if she is serious. I don’t know if Paty is serious. Can Jose Enrique love me in such a short time? I know he wants me, but love? I think that he can love me by the time the wedding takes place. I just need some time. Weddings take some time. So maybe I can drag out the preparations until I know that he does love me. Hmmm, I need to think about this. Approaching the table Jessy starts to smile. I just want to assure Jose Enrique that I am okay.
Jose Enrique stands up pulling out her chair when they arrived at their table. Jessy sits down y looks around. Jose Enrique’s primos are looking at her with curiosity y amazement.
Once seated, Jose Enrique also pulls out the chairs of his hermana y prima before sitting down again reaching for Jessy’s mano. Mañana she will be wearing mi ring. Everybody will know she is taken. She is mia.
Jose Enrique looks so guapo in his black pinstripe suit with white shirt y red tie , thought Jessy.
“Welcome to la familia, Jessy,” said Alex. He looks at her as he makes the toast.
“I second that,” said los primos in agreement.
“We want to go to the club after dinner,” said Ricky. “Jose Enrique doesn’t want to go.”
“Stop whining, Ricky,” said Paty. “You’re old enough to go without him.”
“You primos need to allow Jose Enrique to enjoy his engagement y su novia,” said Bella.
Jose Enrique squeezed Jessy’s mano. “Well, let’s order dinner because I’m starving,” said Jose Enrique. “Mi amor, what will you like to eat?”
“I will love some flautas,” said Jessy, smiling muy contenta.
“Oh, that sounds good,” said Bella. “I’m also going to get some.”
“I will have some carne asada,” said Jose Enrique.
“I think I’ll have that too,” said los primos.
“You see they always do what I do,” said Jose Enrique grinning wickedly. “I bet they will get married right after I do.”
Jessy starts to laugh looking at los primos.
“I will get married right after you do primo, if I can get lucky like you,” said Ricky. “If I can get a novia as bella as yours, I will run to the altar.”
“Jessy, we will be working together on the next new buildings that we’re building,” said Tony. “Paty tells us that you have grasped la familia’s concept for our buildings.”
“Si, y I am really feliz with Jessy’s interior designs,” said Jose Enrique. “I know that we are taking the right step toward the right direction in providing this additional interior-decorating service for our clients.”
“Jessy will manage the interior designs department,” said Paty, really feliz for her amiga.
“It is great that Jessy is also going to work in la familia’s company,” said Bella.
“I know that our padres will be contentos with this new service,” said Ricky, thinking about the whole package of new services that can be offered to the clients. “We will need to get together when you have some packages ready, so I can draw up some new contracts for it,” said Ricky taking a drink.
The waiter returns with their food y everybody starts to eat.
I’m so glad that finally we are having our dinner. Hopefully I will be alone with Jessy soon. I want her all to myself.
Jose Enrique is getting anxious, thought Jessy. I know he wants us to be alone. What should I do? It is really hard to think with him right next to me. He does appear to be serious about our marriage. Hmmm, I should make him wait a little bit. Maybe until we set a wedding
