deep hard stabs, his release was upon him. He didn’t bother to pull out of her warm
body like he did with all the other women he’d been with. Even with a condom he hadn’t wanted to risk
getting them pregnant. But with Jenna he couldn’t bear it, couldn’t stand to think of being separated from
her during his climax. As he felt cum shoot up his shaft, he clutched the back of Jenna’s head and brought
her mouth down to his as he spilled inside the condom while he was sheathed in her tight pussy.
“Oh my God, Bryce. That was hot.”
“Hot?” he drawled, circling her ear with his tongue. “Sweetheart, I’m just getting warmed up.”

Strategic retreat. That was what was needed now.
Holy shit! She’d actually done it. Had sex with Bryce. Twice! The memories were enough to make her
thighs clench and her clitoris tingle.
Never had sex been so damn good. Although she shouldn’t be surprised. This was Bryce, after all, and
clearly, he was a very gifted man. A man who knew his way around a woman’s body just as well as his
gourmet kitchen. And what he had cooked up inside her was better than the most decadent chocolate
    dessert Jenna had ever had.
Through the early-morning light streaming through her window, Jenna once more turned her head on the
pillow to watch Bryce sleeping. She blinked. Then blinked again, half wondering if this was just a wild
dream, and when she opened her eyes once more, he’d be gone.
Her lashes flickered, and she raised her lids. He was still there, one arm thrown above his head, the other
lying across his naked torso. The sheets were all tangled, wrapped around his lean waist and long,
    well-muscled thighs.
She watched him for a long time, studying the gentle rise and fall of his chest, listening to the soft breath
whisper past his slightly parted lips. His longish dark hair was rumpled, falling down across his brow and
over his eye. His chin was sprinkled with dark scruff, which Jenna found very sexy.
All in all, Bryce Ryder wasn’t hard to wake up to. But Jenna knew that was all going to change when the
day began. Morning afters were never her strong suit. Not that she had had many of them. But the ones
she’d experienced had been awkward murmurings followed by her stealing the sheet from the bed to
hide her nudity as she ran to the shower. This morning, she realized, was going to be the same. Only this
morning she wasn’t waking up beside one of her past boyfriends, who had only barely satisfied her. This
morning it was Bryce, her best friend. The friend who had made her explode like a firecracker. And
damn it, she didn’t know how the hell she was going to look him in the face, much less what she was
    going to say to him.
It wasn’t like she was an expert at casual sex. Maybe if she were, she wouldn’t be stressing right now,
trying to think of something sultry yet blasé to say to him when he woke up. Somehow, everything
sounded too needy, too desperate. Bryce would be on edge this morning, terrified she was going to think
that there was something between them—something permanent. And while she wanted that, she knew
Bryce wasn’t yet there. So she decided that honesty was not the best policy this morning. “I love you and
want to have your babies,” was definitely going to send him packing.
With a sigh, Jenna glanced at the clock, and saw she had only ten minutes before the alarm was set to go
off. Being the coward she was, she slid the alarm button off and slowly inched her way to the edge of the
    mattress.
Waking up to see regret shining in Bryce’s beautiful hazel eyes was something she didn’t care to stick
around for. Last night was gone. Now it was morning. A new day. And God only knew what the day
was going to entail. Probably some nasty high drama between them, followed by her crying in her office
at work, too ashamed to show her face.
