long moment before the corner of his mouth hooked upwards. He leaned against the door frame. “Go ahead.”
Her nose flared as she fought back the unattractive word that threatened to escape. The man was impossible. With a determined tilt to her chin, she crossed the room and brushed past him, picking up a whiff of the tantalising aqua notes of his cologne. As she walked down the hall, his gaze burnt twin spots on her backside.

After her meeting, she went into the studio and stopped by Penny’s desk. She and Penny had hit it off from the start and had become good work friends in a short time. Tara liked the young woman’s sharp humour, and they were both avid thriller fans. When she noticed a paperback copy of The English Assassin on Penny’s desk, she smiled and tapped it.
    “Loved this one.”
Penny glanced away from her computer screen and returned the smile. “Can’t go wrong with Silva.”
“Nope. Did you bring lunch today?”
    She nodded. “You?”
“No, didn’t have the time to prepare anything.” Tara glanced at the patter of rain against the window and frowned. Another wet day in Seattle. Thankfully, summer was around the corner. “Think I’ll do take-out.”
“Cool. I’ll be in the caf, usual time.”
“Sounds good. Oh, there’s a new file from JQ Foods on the FTP server, so disregard the one they sent yesterday. I hate when they do that, but you know how they are.”
“Yup. Are you going to the meeting?” She pushed her designer, black-rimmed glasses farther up the bridge of her slim nose.
    “What meeting?”
“Jay sent everyone an email about fifteen minutes ago. Here, let me open it. ‘Important news to share. Join me in the boardroom at eleven, Jay.’”
Tara’s eyebrow lifted. “Wonder what that’s about?”
Penny pushed her chair back and stood up. “Let’s find out.”

Tara couldn’t help staring at the full curve of his mouth as he talked. It was too damn sensual…unfairly so. Therefore, it wasn’t her fault she was looking at it, wondering what it would feel like on…
“I’ll cut to the chase, folks. As some of you know, I’ve been working to land us a presentation with Sauber Spirits. Premium hard liquor producers…their products are currently distributed in twenty states. They’ve just about developed their first vodka, and they’re looking for package design,” Jay said, his grey eyes dancing with enthusiasm.
He was standing at the head of the long conference table, calm and confident as usual. Tara’s gaze moved over his broad shoulders and lean torso, picturing defined, olive-toned flesh underneath. She’d traced every inch in her mind countless times, both at work and during the lonely hours before falling asleep. She longed to press her mouth to the strong column of his throat and inhale that aqua-earthy scent.
The gestures of his hands drew her gaze. She liked looking at those, too, formed as they were with lean muscle and long fingers. Hands that looked like they knew how to please a woman. A sudden image of his fingers probing inside her sent a spiral of heat from her belly to her pussy.
She sucked her bottom lip between her teeth as her perusal went lower and lingered on the subtle bulge of his crotch. She’d fantasised about his cock, of course…flicking her tongue across the swollen head before stretching her lips around the silky hardness. And if his hands were anything to go by…
The heat in her pussy curled into a tight knot, making her shift in the chair.
“Why aren’t they using their current branding people?” someone asked.
“They want a young company to handle this product…produce something fresh, youthful.” He paused. “Their sales have been steady, but rising slowly.”
Jay cleared his throat, drawing her attention back to his face.
“The good news is we’ve been offered the presentation.” Applause erupted around the room for several seconds. “This is a client we want to have. The new vodka is just
