better at the full moons than I am.”
He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and directed her toward his bedroom. “What can I say? You inspire me. By the way, what’s next month’s fantasy?”
She narrowed her eyes. “Jake. You can’t have them all. I mean that sort of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?”
He sat on the mattress and pulled her down to sit next to him. “I don’t think so. Wasn’t the list created as a way to explore your sexuality? I don’t remember you saying anything about going out and having sex with twelve different men. Just that you wanted to try different things.”
Josie wasn’t sure how to respond. He was right. Again. Damn.
First he’d pointed out the flaw in choosing fantasies she’d never act out with a stranger, and now this. Her list hadn’t addressed the who, just the what. Her real reason for not wanting to spend another night with him was based on her emerging feelings, but there was no way she’d confess that to him. Hell, she still didn’t know his last name and she’d refused to give him her phone number or address.
    They were still—essentially—strangers.
“Even so, you’ve already had three full moons. Maybe I should let someone else have a turn.”
His eyes crinkled when he smiled. He was too handsome for her peace of mind. “Do you have someone in mind?”
    She shook her head.
“What’s the next fantasy?” He’d continue to press for the answer until she told him.
    “Bondage.”
He blew out a long, impressed whistle. “Oh, hell yeah. That one is definitely mine.”
She laughed. “You know, this isn’t like calling dibs or shotgun. Just because you say it’s yours doesn’t mean I’m going to give it to you.”
He rose slowly, grasping her wrists before she could determine his plan. Jake lifted her from the bed, twisting her away from him until he had her hands captured tightly at the small of her back. She struggled to free herself from his strong grip, but he wouldn’t release her.
    “I’m very good at bondage.”
    “This isn’t an audition.”
Jake didn’t reply. Instead he pushed her forward until she had no choice but to lie on the bed, facedown. He followed her to the mattress, his legs caging her upper thighs, his hold on her hands relentless, unyielding. For a few moments, neither of them spoke. Jake simply held her immobile, his strength overwhelming her in ways she couldn’t resist.
She closed her eyes and stopped fighting the inevitable.
Jake released her, leaning over to press soft, warm kisses to the nape of her neck. “I’m sorry.” His voice was quiet, tender. “I tend to get a little crazy when I consider this may be the last time I’ll see you.”
She smiled at his heartfelt admission. “The feeling’s mutual, Jake, but believe me, I’m not someone you want to get mixed up with. I’ve got enough baggage to keep a fleet of bellhops busy. I wish you could just trust me when I say this is better.”
He placed a kiss on her bare shoulder, then straightened, moving aside. “I’ll take what I can get. And for the record, I’m still gunning for next month. Crawl up into the middle of the mattress and get on your hands and knees.”
Her body responded to his deep-voiced command instantly, her nipples tightening, her pussy clenching. There wasn’t a doubt in her mind that he was good at bondage and probably every other damn thing on her list. Something about him called to her—be it chemistry or attraction or just a spark fighting to become a flame. Whatever it was, it was potent, irresistible. New.
Josie assumed the position, then looked over her shoulder, finding Jake’s bright blue eyes staring at her ass.
She giggled, then wiggled. “Come and get it.”
He ran his hand over her ass cheeks, grinning at her invitation. Then he surprised her by leaving the bed. “Almost forgot my surprises.”
She watched as he retrieved a plastic bag from the chair in the corner. Returning to her, he dropped a tube
