to our
rooms, parting in the hallway. Luckily, Kitty was finally awake and I pulled
her away from the TV where she was catching up on Pretty Little Liars, a show
she had me hooked on. Really who the frick was A?
She paused the episode with a groan
after I blocked the TV. “Uh Paige! That was getting pretty intense, what do you
want?”
“Oh come on, you know they will
just end up leaving you hanging anyway.” I pulled her hand towards my side of
the closet and did the Vanna White thing with my hands. “And don’t you think
helping me pick out an outfit for my date tonight with Ben would be so much
more exciting?”
Her eyes lit up just a bit, I knew
she loved to pick out my outfits whenever I let her, but she covered it up with
a huff. “I guess I could help,” she grumbled out.
Just ten minutes before Ben was
going to pick me up, I was finally ready. I knew we were going to free movie
night that they held for students occasionally and then grabbing a bite to eat.
We always ended up eating at different places around town, so I never knew if I
should wear something casual or dressy. So we settled for in between.
I adjusted the deep blue sundress
that I had paired with black wedged sandals and smoothed out my ponytail, even
though I normally liked to leave it down, I had learned that it was the best
way to wear my hair, since it always got blown around in Ben’s car.
“You look sexy as hell,” Kitty
reached out and slapped me on the ass before plopping back down on the beanbag
chair that substituted for actual furniture in our room. “Good, totally the
look I was going for.” I pulled out my phone to let Ben know that I was ready
and would meet him downstairs in ten minutes. “Aren’t you going out with Brad
tonight?” She had finally put some clothes on after she got up but had only put
on a silky pink pajama set.
    “Well actually, he’s coming over
here. So if there’s a sock on the door when you come back, make sure you knock
really loud before entering, if not I can’t be responsible for what you see.”
She gave me a big wink and I let out a groan. “Really, Kitty? A sock? Isn’t
that like a guy thing?” She answered me back with a giggle and I left her
behind to meet Ben. That girl was like a freakin’ sex machine!

The movie and dinner with Ben was
nice, but we still ended up finishing things up pretty early. When he suggested
we go back to his apartment, I was more than willing. I was sure I had plenty
of time to kill since I knew Kitty was probably pretty busy at the moment.
I had never been to Ben’s before
and I was surprised at how clean it was. Everything was pristinely white and
there wasn’t one surface filled with clutter. I knew his parents had footed the
bill for his apartment because they didn’t want him subjected to the dorm life.
They sounded a little bit stuffy to me.
Somehow, we ended up in his bedroom
and that’s when things got a little awkward. “So,” he muttered, standing in the
doorframe and scratching at the blonde stubble that covered his head. My eyes
flicked back and forth between him and the bed that seemed to be screaming out
to me, centered in the oversized room.
What the hell? If he’s not going to
make the first move, I guess I will. I took a step closer until we were just
inches apart and watched the way the moon flickered in his eyes. He had shoved
his hands into his pockets, like he was afraid to touch me. Guess I would have
to be the aggressive one here, even though I had no clue what I was doing.
Our lips crashed together after I
pulled his head down to mine and I could feel the tension release from him as
soon as our tongues touched. He finally took over, lifting my body from the
ground easily. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he stalked towards the
bed, never breaking the kiss.
He leaned over me after placing
