and easy.  A future that looked laid with a path that nobody could
touch.
    But somebody did.
    A sexy billionaire named Bradley.
    “Fuck,” Becky whispered.
Her heart stumbled in her chest,
unsure of what to feel.
She wanted it to be either weeks in
the past or weeks in the future.  Certainly not the next day.  She had never
been in this position and had no idea what to do.  Calling Bradley didn’t seem
possible, let alone the fact that Becky had never called Bradley and quite
honestly, had no idea how to get in contact with him.
Becky sat up in bed, letting the
sheet fall, exposing her breasts. She looked down at herself and sighed.
She closed her eyes, begging for
time to go back.
    Please, go back.
    Time didn’t go back.
    It couldn’t.
Not even all the money in the world
could make time go back.  The power Bradley had over Becky couldn’t be stopped,
not now, not ever.
    Becky’s heart raced thinking about
him.  She wanted him.  She desired him.  She lust for him.
    She needed him.
Being his fake fiancée, fake wife,
being his part of a puzzle, a transaction, whatever he wanted, she had to be.
Without the idea of seeing Bradley, touching him, it left her empty.  It left
her feeling dead, like her best days had come and gone.
Plus, she could get used to it
all.  Get used to his persona and how he acted.  Her real reason for getting so
mad last night was because she had no idea why she had been brought to that
party.  And then hearing Bradley speak to her, whisper in her ear, touch her
hand, and then the fantasy of being his fiancée… it was all so much to absorb
at once.
    That’s all it was.
If she knew ahead of time of his
plan, every detail, she could have gone with it, without the hurt.
Becky let her breasts go and
touched her face.  From her open mouth to the small tears in the corners of her
eyes.  Her fingers wiped the tears and she scrambled from her bed.  When she
caught sight of the black dress on the floor, she moaned, wanting Bradley to be
there with her.
There was only one thing to do.
    Becky needed to find Bradley.
She’d start over, right at the beginning of it all.  She’d show up for work, to
the elevators of HB-Ley, and let fate take all control.

3.
    A fter
a long shower, Becky wanted to feel different.
    She didn’t.
    Every few seconds she caught
herself looking to her door, knowing she needed to leave, and soon.  She didn’t
know why, but she just felt it.  Wandering around her apartment got her
nowhere.  Battling the questions in her mind only made things worse.  One
second she had all the right answers and the next second she thought of all the
wrong answers.
Finally, it hit her that maybe her
actions caused something horrible to happen.
What if the deal with Carlello fell
through?
Bradley needed Becky to be his
pretend whatever to make the deal happen.  And if she wasn’t there at the end
of the night… and if Carlello didn’t buy into whatever excuse Bradley threw at
him…
    It could be really horrible.
Not that the money mattered because
Bradley was a billionaire with or without Carlello.  But it was the idea of
what Bradley demanded of his life, which was growth and constant success.
Becky ran out of excuses and
reasons, storming to her door.  She wasn’t necessarily dressed for a day of
work, wearing a pair of jeans and a black sweater, but she didn’t care.  This
was about her and Bradley.  With a little help of fate, things would happen as
needed.
Becky didn’t even look back to her
door, her eyes were focused forward.  Not behind.  She didn’t want to think
about the past, only the future.
    And Bradley.
She passed through the main door of
her building, turning her head slightly left, hoping to see the car Bradley had
purchased for her.  Inside, a little bit of herself was greedy, hoping that if
things with Bradley were done she could still keep the car.
Becky didn’t get a chance to see
the car though because something
