Bhatia. Yes. I can do this on my own." She smiled at him.
“Then I send you on your way with my blessings. Do let me know how it all turns out. I have enjoyed this passage with you. Remember, positive in and negative out.” They both stood and shook hands warmly.
“Thank you, Dr. Bhatia, I have enjoyed your guidance on this journey.”
The hour session had ended so quickly, and she felt much closer to knowing whom she was and what'd happened to keep her in the continual circle in which her life seemed to revolve. It was her last session with Dr. Bhatia. He’d given her the techniques she could use at home, though he allowed her to call him if she had any issues or questions. She shook the doctor's hand and then left the session, walking out into the sunshine feeling relaxed and assured that everything was falling into place.

“So how'd the date go with Clay?” Eva rolled her eyes and gave an unladylike snort. They were at an outdoor café drinking lattes and nibbling on pastries. It'd been a few weeks since the date, and Liliana was tired of the silence. She wanted to know what'd happened.
“Girl, please, it wasn’t a date.” Liliana burst out laughing only to get more eye rolling from Eva. “Well, it wasn’t.”
“Oh, so getting all prettied up and going out to dinner isn’t a date?”
“No, it’s just him taking me to eat.”
“Did he pay for the meal?” Once again, Eva looked at her as if she had a second head on her shoulders.
“Of course he did.” She sounded indignant.
“Then it was a date, Eva. A date, that I might add, did you some good. So answer my question. How did it go?”
“Ugh! Okay … it was a date, and it was fantastic. Don’t you dare tell him, Lili. He's already as smug as hell. If his ego gets any bigger, he will need his own time zone.” They both chuckled.
“There's something about him; I can’t explain what it is.” She sighed and smirked. “But whatever it is, I like it.”
“Nice, it’s about time someone caught your attention.” Eva gave her a big, cheesy grin. It made her feel so good that her sister had someone else to focus on, and Clay seemed to be the real deal for Eva. Even if Eva didn't want to admit that to herself, Liliana could see it.
"I like him. I don't want to get too crazy about this. He could just be playing me. He's hard to read, and that makes me antsy." Eva picked up her drink and took a sip.
"E, it’s obvious he likes you. I mean, he is a very genuine type of person. Why'd you think otherwise?" She picked up her croissant and spread some butter and honey on it, watching as the amber and yellow mixed to make delicious goo. Taking a bite of the croissant, she almost purred as the flavors hit her taste buds.
"Girl, you're enjoying that croissant like someone is going to town on your va jay jay!" They both burst out laughing, causing other patrons to briefly turn and look at them.
"You've been hanging around the young girls at the shop again, haven't you?" Liliana teased her.
“Of course I have. W here else would I learn such cool slang?" They both laughed, and then Eva turned serious. "I think like that because of my past relationships. Men seem to want me for a moment, and then someone better comes along. I am tired of being hurt like that, so it’s easier to push them away before I get pushed."
"Stop having a defeatist attitude. If you want him, go for it. He seems to really, really dig you."
"I'm just going to take things slow. I haven't had sex with him yet, though we've fooled around. I make sure I tease the hell out of him, too. Let's see how long that shit lasts before he gets tired of me not putting out."
"Be careful that doesn't backfire on you," s he warned Eva.
"How could it go wrong? He wants me bad, and if he's genuine, he will be patient enough to wait for it." Eva began lavishing a croissant with the same butter and honey mixture Liliana had used.
"He could get pissed off and think you’re playing games.
