rest of her life with me. But I couldn’t look her
in the eye and see…” He closes his eyes for a moment. “I lost the trust and a
relationship without trust just doesn’t work. So I ended it, she begged me not
to, cried a lot, swore to me that nothing had happened between them, but for me
it was over.” He stares out at the window for a moment, then looks back at me
and slightly shakes his head.
“After that happened, I kind of resigned
myself to being on my own, or meeting someone who had their own money. Which I
did, if you’re in the right circles you generally do, but none of them held any
interest for me…then I met you.” Tristan gazes down at me and strokes my cheek.
“I'm just as scared as you are, of being hurt, of you leaving me. But I trust
that you’re here right now because of me, not my money.” He frowns deeply
searching my face.
“Tristan,” I breathe, I need to make him
understand. “I can’t do anything about the fact that you have money, that
you’re rich. But I'm telling you now, if you somehow lost it all, I’d be
standing right by your side through it all, and from then onwards. Or if I’d
have met you and you didn’t have money, I’d still be here with you right now. It’s
you I want not your money.” He smiles down at me and gently kisses my lips, but
I want to tell him more, how I really feel, what I’ve been holding back from
him.
“You rocked my world when I first saw you,
turned it upside down. I was completely beside myself, no man has ever affected
me the way you have. So I'm really glad that you’ve met me, someone who loves
you for who you are and I’ll tell you something else. No-one in the world will
ever love you as much as I do, and will for the rest of my life. I know we have
only known each other for a short amount of time, but I know it, I feel it, I
couldn’t imagine being with anybody else. And to think of what it would be like
to not have you in my life is just....un-imaginable.” I shudder as a recall
leaving him again.
Tristan’s arms snake round my waist and he
gazes at me in awe. Now I get it, now I understand why he’s so happy that he’s
met me. It makes perfect sense, and I agree, it must be really tough to meet
someone who genuinely wants you, not your millions. It also explains why he
hasn’t had a relationship for such a long time.
Tristan smiles bashfully at me as I lean
down and kiss his lips again. “Forever,” I whisper.
“And ever,” he adds running his fingers
through my hair, softly kissing my lips – And I know it’s going to happen
again...

IN A DREAM LIKE STATE I
wobble to the bathroom. Tristan has gone downstairs to warm up the cappuccinos
in the microwave. I’m supposed to be getting ready, but I don’t seem to have
much concentration. I feel like I'm floating on air, I don’t even feel like I’m
in my own body. Is this what being in love, and having hot, body-rocking sex is
like? If it is, then I’ve been a fool, a very big fool to be thinking I wasn’t
missing out on anything.
Dropping my towel to the floor, I step
under the overlarge square shower, and turn it on. I lean my head back, close
my eyes and let the water cascade across my face, and soak my hair. Picking up
my body wash, I go to squirt some into my hands, but I’m suddenly aware I’m not
alone, I spin around.
Tristan is casually leaning against the
shower door. He’s got his arms crossed and he’s gazing at me with a hot, heated
look. I swallow hard. All he’s wearing are his sweats; his glorious upper body
is all on show for me. I want him again – Coral you just did it, three times!
Tristan is smiling at me with such a
seductive look in his eyes, I think I may climax without him even touching me.
“Mind if I join you?” He asks. Join me?
Is he kidding? I’m in the shower!
“I...” I suddenly feel very, very shy.
“Really?” I squeak in astonishment.
“If you don’t mind,” he says his sexy
