it start to move. “Wait, are we going somewhere?” she asked, surprised.
“Yes. I thought we could go sail a bit. I assume you have nowhere better to be today. Besides, I want you to get good use of that swimsuit, after all,” he said, looking like a wolf staring down a bunny.
She couldn’t suppress her smile. So what if she didn’t know what the hell he wanted to do with her? She could enjoy the ride while it lasted, right? Kiara tried to push the worries out of her head and just enjoy her time in the presence of the sleek, powerful man, who seemed to be on a mission to sweep her off her feet. A girl could dream a little, right?

“And that’s how Cadence would become the new Tiffany’s classical collection – sought after by the mid-class and worn just as easily by the rich and the famous,” Kiara concluded with a big grin on her lips.
It was easy to enjoy work when she had a freshly made mojito in her hand and the sun was gently licking her body as it was laid out on a plush, comfortable beach chair on the uppermost deck of the yacht. Damien was looking at her while sipping on his own drink, his eyes sharp and focused. He’d insisted that she change into her bikini before they start with the work talk, and though she protested with all her might, Damien won as usual.
Now, in retrospect, she couldn’t disagree with his logic one bit. Everything went smoother when one got to bask in the warmth of sunshine with a delicious drink in her hand and a man, who looks like a Greek god keeping her company.
“That’s not too bad of an idea,” Damien said, leaning on the railing.
The impossibly blue ocean made his eyes look all the more gorgeous. It was far too easy to get lost in them, and it took considerable effort for Kiara to keep her wits about her.
“The only problem I have is with the possibility of cheapening the brand. As much as we want the money, we don’t exactly want to become the Michael Kors of fine jewelry.”
Kiara nodded. She liked talking about work. It was the one thing she knew she was good at. Despite all of her family’s financial difficulties and the hardships she had had to go through to get her degree, Kiara could proudly say that it had been money well-spent, and she’d truly picked a career that would let her grow and become a woman who stood on her own two feet.
It even distracted her from that howling desire to touch Damien that had been growing ever stronger since he showed up at the conference room unannounced.
“That’s why we don’t compromise on the price. We’re not looking to make the pieces cheaper, just make them that much more desirable. When you think about it, there really aren’t that many pieces of jewelry that people could name off the top of their head.
Take the Cartier love bangle for example. Everyone knows what it is, and every woman, no matter how rich or poor, desires it. The Cadence pieces could become like that. I think the Affection necklace and the starburst ring could be the biggest sellers.”
“And why do you think that?” he asked casually.
The breeze whipped through his hair and made his shirt billow slightly, showing off more skin underneath the white fabric. For a second, his chiseled abs caught her eye, and she had to suppress a little sigh – she remembered exactly how they felt against her when he was on top of her, kissing her mouth hungrily as he rutted into her. It was enough to make a girl squirm in her seat.
Dressed in a hot red bikini, she knew she looked good – she didn’t need to guess, he had told her as much. Kiara couldn’t help but wonder where the day would take her. Was he going to just talk shop during the whole trip? They were already so far from the shore that Kiara couldn’t see a speck of land, and aside from the occasional server, who came to refill their glasses or to bring refreshments, they were completely alone.
You were supposed to want him to just keep it professional. So don’t let your
