with that.”
Tasha’s eyes lit up when he said that. She knew that the eight bricks were as good as gold, so she shut up and accepted the deal. “Nice doing business with you, Troy,” she stated with a wink.
â€œVery nice.” Troy licked his lips and eyed her up and down. “Let me know if you’d like to do it again.”
Tasha smirked. The sex was good, but it wasn’t that damn good. She still hated cops, and she knew that she wouldn’t make it a habit of dealing with him. She hopped back into her vehicle and pulled away.
When she arrived back at the club, Mimi and Halleigh were waiting patiently for her. She was surprised that they had gotten rid of everyone so quickly.
â€œYou get the money?” Mimi asked, the dollar signs practically forming in her eyes.
â€œYeah, I got it. There are twenty stacks here and eight bricks,” Tasha replied.
â€œWhat are we gon’ do with some dope?” Halleigh asked.
â€œDon’t worry about it. I’m gon’ holla at my brother. He lives in New York. We’re going to visit him there. We’ll let things cool down before we come back . . . if we come back.”
Tasha divided the cash by giving herself $8,000 and then giving Halleigh and Mimi $6,000 apiece. She figured she should get a little more for putting the plan together and fucking with Troy to carry it out. Mimi and Halleigh had no objections.
â€œLook, y’all, no one can know that we set up Manolo’s arrest, so we just have to keep our mouths shut and let things die down. Then I promise you that everything will be fine,” Tasha said.
Halleigh smiled and hugged Tasha tightly. “Thank you, Tash. Thank you so much.”
Mimi was busy flicking through her money when she burst out laughing.
    Halleigh frowned. “What’s so funny?”
Mimi shook her head and giggled some more. “Did y’all see Manolo’s face when the police blew up his spot?”
Halleigh and Tasha joined in on the laughter.
Mimi shook her head. “His ass was getting ready to cry when they put those handcuffs on him.”
â€œWhat goes around comes around,” Halleigh stated. “I hope he rots in the mu’fucka.”
â€œLet’s get out of here.” Tasha rose from her seat. “We’ve got a long drive ahead of us.” Tasha had changed her plans to fly to New York, when she decided that she would take Mimi and Tasha with her. Leaving them in Flint was too risky. If they were with her, they couldn’t talk.
The girls exited the club with a burden lifted from their hearts. Manolo had taken advantage of each of them in their own way. As they pulled away from the club, they felt safe and secure, knowing that their betrayal would be a secret that would never leave those four walls.
Just as Tasha, Halleigh, and Mimi drove away, Keesha came walking out of the club with envy in her eyes. She’d just overheard the conversation and knew it had to be worth something. She just had to figure out how she would use it to her advantage.

Chapter Six
â€œO h my God, can we stop and grab something to eat?” Mimi attempted to shift to a more comfortable position in the small car. “We’ve been driving for eight hours straight.”
â€œWe’re almost there.” Tasha looked at her watch. It was three in the afternoon. “We got like two hours to go. We’ve got all this shit in the trunk, so we got to keep it pushing until we unload the bricks. My brother will know what to do.” Tasha had told the girls before they headed out that they were doing the thing in one straight shot, so if anybody had to eat or piss, they best do it before they hit the highway.
â€œI just want to get out of these clothes and take a shower,” Halleigh added. “Does your brother even know we’re coming?”
â€œNo, I didn’t tell him,” Tasha confessed, “but it’s not gon’ be
