face. “Drew, we’ve only know each other for a few days. How can you be so sure this is what you want?”
“Can you deny that you feel the same way?” he demanded. “Wolves mate only once.
For life. And you know when you’ve found your mate. It doesn’t take months to be sure.”

She pressed her lips to his jaw line and he felt her relax in his arms. “But I still have John to worry about.”
“John can stay here with us. He can help me on the ranch or join The Sentinels. He’ll be part of our pack. Our new pack.”
When she looked up at him again he saw tears in her eyes.
“Oh, darlin’, I didn’t mean to make you cry.” He brushed away tears with his thumb.
    “I’m crying because I’m happy.”
“Maybe I need to convince you a little more,” he teased.
“Feel free,” she told him, “although I think I’m already sold.”
    “Then let me pleasure you.”
He rolled her beneath him and spread her legs wide. Kneeling, he placed his hands on her buttocks and lifted her to his mouth, reading her for his penetration. He barely remembered to grab a condom before positioning himself and driving home into her wet warmth.
“I love you,” he said, his voice hoarse as he plunged into her again and again.
“I love you, too,” she told him, lifting to him even more, hands fisted in his hair.
It took them only seconds to reach a shared orgasm, shuddering together as spasm after spasm gripped them. When the fierceness of the explosion abated, Drew rolled to his side, taking Ann Marie with him. He brushed strands of hair from her damp face, feeling her heart thundering against his.
    “Mine,” he said with emphasis.
    “Mate,” she agreed.
Already he could feel his shaft hardening again. Tomorrow, he decided. After everyone was gone. They’d shift, roam the woods, and mate in wolven form.
    Forever.

    About the Author

Desiree Holt has lived a life of excitement that brings the colour to her writing. She was a summer fishing guide, a summer field hand where she was one of only three women working, a member of a beginning ski team that skied in competition (and no, no broken bones!). She spent several years in the music business representing every kind of artist from country singer to heavy metal rock bands. For several years she also ran her own public relations agency handling any client that interested her. She loves to tell the story of sending a singer up in a hot air balloon singing “Up, Up and Away in My Beautiful Balloon” and stopping traffic for four miles in every direction.
Before and between her two marriages she dated enough hunks to fill up two he-man calendars, one of whom taught her to shoot so beware, she’s always armed. She’s kept a fresh look at erotic romance by making sure the sensuality factor in her private life is always high. She’s married to her own personal alpha hero who helps her with that.
