see it, but she knew he was with Nathan, both of them getting ready for the ceremony. She added light make-up, styled her short blonde hair into a sexy mess before grabbing her coat and a bottle of champagne and hurrying over to her sister’s place. Letting herself in she found Tess upstairs and in front of a floor-length mirror, smoothing a hand over her dress. It was white, long and flowing much like hers with a silver laced V neckline, and left her back bare. Her sister’s hair was silky, half up half down with white anemones tucked into the blonde waves here and there.
Erin gasped. “Oh God. You look so beautiful.”
Tess turned around, a shy and nervous smile tugging at her lips. “Do you think he’ll like it?”
“He won’t be able to take his eyes, much less his hands, off you.” Erin held up the bottle in her hand and two glasses in her other. “Brought some bubbly.”
    “You’re the best.”
While opening the bottle, Erin glanced at her sister who had sat down on the bed. “Nervous?”
“Yes. But a good kind of nervous.”
“Good.” She handed Tess a glass and sat own as well. “I can’t believe my baby sister is going to bond with a wolf. You’re basically marrying him, right?”
“Witch style, yeah.” Tess downed her glass. “What about you and Seth? Still want me to drag you off to a hospital if you start talking about bonding?”
Erin frowned as she sipped her champagne. “I don’t know.”
“Wow. We really have changed. We are witches, our lovers are wolves.” Tess stared at her. “And now, I’m suddenly the one who likes it rough while you go for the soft and easy.”
“Hey, I still like it rough. I just don’t run away screaming at the thought of making love .”
Tess smiled and took her hand in hers. “Are you happy, Erin?”
It was the same question Erin had asked her sister after she had come here. “Yes, I am.”
    “Good.”

The sun was about to set, painting the sky with a last breath, when the sisters made their way through the forest. When they reached the edge of the trees that lined the clearing around the lake Erin and Tess took off their coats and laid them on a stone nearby. Erin summoned the magic and love in her, imagining the ceremony altar in front of her, and ignited the torches and fire baskets with her thoughts. The flames’ heat warmed the air around them, like a bubble, protecting them against the cold of the falling night.
Guided only by the music of the forest and the night the sisters stepped out into the clearing. Tess gasped at the sight in front of her. Erin and Joanne had successfully kept her in the dark about the preparations here. “Oh my God. It’s beautiful.” Her teary gaze, full of love, flicked to Erin. “You did this.”
    “With Joanne’s help.”
“Shit. And now you make me cry and swear before the ceremony has even begun.”
“Stop it, you’ll make me cry as well.”
Tess took a deep breath and then nodded.
Nathan was waiting, near the lakeshore, with Seth and his mother by his side, all of them dressed in black and silver. The two of them only had eyes for each other and were grinning like fools.
When they reached him, Erin hugged her sister and stepped aside before winking at Seth. God, he should be forbidden to wear a suit.
As the new moon was about to set as well, Joanne started the ceremony. Summoning old magic she joined the two mates who were about to start a new life, as was the moon. Words of love, oaths and kisses were exchanged while their hands were bound in silver and tears sprang to Erin’s eyes. Love and magic were heavy in the air and in her heart. But then the air changed for the last part of the ceremony. Erotically charged, for the end wasn’t marked with a kiss but a bite.
Nathan’s eyes glowed gold as he leaned in and nuzzled her sister’s neck, before he groaned and marked the soft flesh there. Erin’s gaze locked with Seth’s and heat shot through her body.
